Southstar Lofts is an AMAZING place to live for anybody looking to stay in center city. It’s a beautiful building with top-of-the-line floor plans, helpful and kind staff, endless amenities, and most of all a friendly, welcoming community. It has the broad street line directly outside the front door, so getting around the city could not be made any more convenient.

Southstar has been a wonderful place to live. I’ve been here 3 years now and so far despite the change in management from Dranoff to Aimco, things have been smooth and have kept our discounts with local businesses like the diner downstairs. Service requests are easily made via an online portal and services done in a timely and efficient manner. The maintenance and grounds staff work tirelessly and are very nice. Conference room and gym are accessible 24 hrs and well maintained.

It would be a nice building, except for the NOISE. The bikes and ATVs in Broad St are horrific. No one disclosed this issue. On top of that, because of the timing of my lease, they hadn't gotten bad yet when it was time to renew, so now I'm stuck in sleepless noisy hell for another 10 months.
It's the place to be if you hate getting a full night's sleep in the summer!

Great place to live in terms of quality of the building, the units and facilities. Has a nice small gym with some machines and free weights. I lived there for almost two years and it was close to the subway to get to work and convenient walk to center city. Hardwood floors, very updated appliances and cabinets and we had a great corner apartment that overlooked broad street. Initially, we had a great building manager who was very responsive and was quick to answer any questions that I had. He showed his face all the time and stopped by and said hello often when I walked through the lobby. About

This is what luxury living, in Philadelphia, looks like. @southstarlofts has not formally requested my vacation of the premises; and, while I will happily leave, they’ve agreed to terminate my access to the building (per my roommate’s request), without a 30 grace period. An email was sent to both my roommate, AND the property manager inciting a response. No response has been received. So.

1) After a 2AM break-in to my apartment (and bedroom, where I was sleeping. The intruder was stoned), management neither followed up nor called the police!
2) The new management company (2017) negated the arrangements I had made with the previous (Dranoff) company. They charged $1800 in penalties and made no attempt to reach the previous management for proof of my previous arrangements. They added a $250/month charge for storage, even though my original contract said no storage charge. I spent many hours on the phone with their corporate headquarters, who deferred to the local management, who

South star is so much fun! Love the lobby and the common room. I feel at home, and I can get done my work, without anything bothering me. It smells phenomenal and the vibes are awesome. I would love to come back and see how it continues to keep on improving as the years go on. The management team is so caring , and that makes a huge difference in the fabulous experience!

I recently moved to Southstar Lofts, and I can't tell you how much I love living here. It is up to date, closet space is huge with organizers that allow for storage, and the staff are so friendly! It is quiet and very safe. It is an incredible area with restaurants and so much to do. If you're looking for a great place to live, I highly recommend it!

Was a decent place before new owners took over. Now they want to charge for ever that was in included in the remt. Receiving packages, storage locker space. When you give notice to move out be prepared for numerous texts and emails offering reduced rent to stay for another year. I asked to be taken off the list but the messages continued and also sent to my wife's phone.
As we moved out I got call saying they went in out apartment without our knowledge to do a walk through while all our personal things were still in their. They also took a few of our things out of the apartment one they scratched
