I love Lighthouse. The teachers, the variety of classes, a ton of interesting workshops, the unpretentious vibe, and community-focused ethos have been a welcome presence in the neighborhood since coming to their Kennedy Street location. I try to practice with them at least a couple of times a week, and with online and in-person classes available, it’s convenient and fun. Everyone, teachers and students alike, have all always been kind and welcoming. The studio itself is always clean and obviously well cared for. Highly recommended!!

The online virtual kundalini classes have made such a difference in my life. I've been attending almost every day and wow does it make a difference. Julie (Jiwan Shakti Kaur) is the best, always offering such powerful classes. Such a friendly community that is welcoming with open arms and supportive always encouraging healing, spirituality and growth. Oh so grateful for these classes, book club and workshops offered, the teachers and community. Highly recommend :)

I'd been to Lighthouse Yoga Center a few times before the pandemic. Since stay at home started, however, I've taken multiple classes a week every week. Their online kundalini classes have arguably been the thing/service that's helped me the most during this time - they are such a good exercise for the body and the mind. I look forward to be able to go back far more than a few times in person.

Amazing community, tons of great classes and workshops, wonderful people.
Just recently started taking classes here and I wish I wasn’t so busy because they have so many fun workshops to try! The classes I have taken have all been fantastic. It’s quite clear the studio has attracted a community of diverse, wonderful, and welcoming human beings. Pics are from an outdoor class with Jazmin a few weeks back. She was fantastic and connected with and recognized the needs of each one of her students.
As someone that has only dabbled in yoga, I was glad to find a place that is unpretentious but that

Lighthouse Yoga Center has been a wonderful find since moving to Petworth. Such a diverse community of people and they are so welcoming! I really enjoy being able to try many different types of yoga classes, and there seem to be a ton of great events on the schedule every month. Having the flexibility to take online classes from home as well has been great for my busy schedule. Highly recommend.

Lighthouse Yoga Center is a gem. Beautiful space with welcoming staff and teachers. It's so encouraging to find a yoga studio that is invested in supporting the community, knowing your name and your story, and welcoming you just as you are. Everyone here is interested in helping you get what you need from yoga. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

I have been coming to the studio for 4 years. I love that the studio offers so many options to take Kundalini yoga, especially in D.C. proper. Julie, the studio owner, is the epitome of quality, community, diversity, inclusion, and social justice. I see this also amongst those who come as well. I love the variety of instructors and workshops/retreats that I have had over the years. There is always something new in the mix, whether theme/series/knowledge that I glean from the instructors as well as from my fellow yogis. And I do like the option to take Pilates and other yoga classes as a member

Great community and quality yoga. The owner and all teachers and staff at Lighthouse Yoga are committed to teaching a serious yoga practice that everyone can benefit from on and off the mat. The new location on Kennedy Street is a gem that gives this great community a place it can call home. I've been attending classes since June 2018, and really love the variety of classes from the Kundalini classes (this is the only studio in the DC metro area that focuses on a strong Kundalini program) to the variety of Hatha and Vinyasa classes. I quickly became a regular here, and I've seen that everyone who

A place where you're noticed, cared and appreciated. Lighthouse likes to build community, to help each other out, and the quality of yoga is excellent, too many different teachers with their unique styles of sharing their passion: Yoga. This is a place where you can come to be yourself, be treated with love and always feeling encouraged to grow and become a better version of yourself!

Great Kundalini Yoga studio. Very authentic, with great teachers , feels very neighborhoody and reasonable. I just started and although a bit far for me, I look forward to coming . Just like other reviews stated , easy to register on line, friendly and true sense of sharing the art of yoga with community. Highly recommend!
