We go into each apartment home to make sure it's move in ready by completing a full paint, a professional clean and a professional carpet clean (if your apartment has carpeting). Dirty and overpriced. Leasing office went through 3 managers in 1 year I was there. 2 years after moving out I get bill in collections that I was told "not to worry about" from front office.
Don't waste your time and money here
Edit: The George replied under this review that they “handled it” but months later and my errant bill is still in collections. Would you consider that handled? Wish I could give a half star.
Also. Everyone I know who lives at The George lived there for a year (or less) and then left. Take that as you will

I love it! Management is great, very communicative and responsive. Security seems to be taken seriously here. I love that the elevators are secured and there's no keypad at the gate so you don't have to worry about codes being shared and random people having access to your door/vehicle. There's also on site security.

I'm leaving The George because of my new job but I would've stayed here for as long as I could otherwise. The management staff are not only responsive but genuine: Marquise always went out of his way to make sure my needs were met and Sherae got. the. work. done. The maintenance staff are also knowledgeable professionals who are there when you need them. The past year of living here has been a breeze and I'd recommend the place to anyone!

I have no idea who is running the phones today(07/12/2021) but i was just hung up on TWICE when asked to speak to a consultant or manager! NOT disconnected or call failed, some young girl named “sharay” not sure how it’s spelled but i have never experienced rudeness like that with anyone working in customer service. no way to treat potential tenants. what’s going on??

This place is great I don't understand all the negative reviews, i think people are just more likely to rate something out of anger rather than appreciation, but they are so appreciated! The rooms are lovely, the rent is affordable and they've made it a lovely place to live. I've been here for a few months now and mechanics are super responsive and friendly. The security team is great. The Leasing Office workers are always friendly and are there to help if you have any questions. I've seen the other buildings around the area and this is the best, by far. Definitely check it

Walls are SUPER thin. I hear everything my neighbor does including walking back and forth in their apartment all night .The leasing office consultants are not friendly; I've walked into the leasing office multiple times and the leasing agents just stared at me... Also the water bill is always suspiciously high. My water bill for one month was $80... Also, you only get three guest parking passes per week per unit so, if you live with someone else you have to split it up the passes. I am so tired of living here and will be excited when my lease is up.

I have lived here for a few months now and they have only improved on decor and insure the premiss is up to our standards. The rooms are as nice as the staff are friendly (honestly everybody awesome!) I feel like a million bucks walking in and out everyday! Highly recommend this place!

Worst place I've ever lived. When I lived there the parking garage almost collapsed so they shut it down and had us park a block away and also shut down all ammentitjes for over 7 months and just offered 15% off discount. Poor quality(cracks in walls it's basically falling apart just years after being built) Constant car break-ins, shootings, mold on the property. When it rained my apartment would leak. Older management was good (Shea) but new property owners are terrible, especially Eli very passive aggressive. Water bill EXTREMELY high month in and month out for no apparent reason.

- Halls and garage are ALWAYS dirty. Haven't seen them clean one time.
- A lot of car break-ins inside of the parking deck (even behind the gate)
- Overpriced. These units are not worth $1500 and up with utilities.
- People often throw huge parties at the pool. On Memorial day there were at least 250 people at the pool. Guess how many lived here?
- 3 property managers in just a year.
- Funny business with utilities. I stayed away from my unit for almost a month but all of my utilities were the same. I know

I love living here! The building is always kept clean. The rooftop pool is gorgeous and never too crowded so there is always a lounge available to lay on. Also there are lockers for packages so you can get your package at anytime that is convenient for you. Everyone in the front office is super sweet and helpful, especially Holly! Also, I love that there is a coffee shop in the office so you can grab coffee on your way out. I would definitely recommend living here!

I lived in The George for 13 months. I moved out at the end of May. I can't say i enjoyed my experience living there. The pros i would say are easy access to the highway and the restaurants on the property. As far as cons.. I'll start with the leasing office and my security deposit.
As i said i moved out at the end of May and today i received my deposit back - $113 for my water bill. To get my deposit was an issue. I sent multiple emails and finally had to call corporate before getting an answer. When i asked about my water bill being x3 my normal amount (i lived alone) i never got

I felt the need to write a review about a bad living experience that turned into an amazing living experience. I first moved into The George it was not the greatest experience; however, when management hired new staff is when the experience turned into one the greatest customer service experience I have enjoyed while staying at The George.
Shea Crawford took ownership of my ongoing problems that I had with my apartment along with Courtney Morris with immediately fixing maintenance repairs that were needed to my brand new apartment. With the improved customer service experience came improvement

This will be my third month at The George. You can't beat the location; downtown, Grant Park, 4th ward park, ponce city, and all major highways are minutes away and in walkable distance. The staff here are amazing (pointing at you Megan and Sirad!) and are willing to go the extra mile to make your apartment hunt and stay as easy and comfortable as possible -- they're a phone call or an email away if you need anything.
