The entire staff is kind, REASONABLE, and very easy to work with. It is obvious that they care about everyone and if you don't feel welcome, simply respectfully speak to them. It's as easy as that. I always offer them a hand because they deserve it more than most. You can tell this place has been a HEART and SOUL.

I have lived here for 1year from 10/19 to 10/20 and it has been an weird experience. I like the amenities and the washer/dryer it sometimes takes more than 2 hours to wash my clothes, but I refuse to use the laundry room it's for the most part not too secure, it's never to clean during the Pandemic. The maintenance service is ok, until I complain last early about my AC in the bedroom which in the winter it's the coldest room in my apartment. It still hasn't been repaired yet and this is 2021. I had a problem with management but after I submitted a letter to Corporate things have been fine. Consider

My roommate and I were looking at Third and Rhode next door when we stumbled upon The Metropolitan. All of my friends are shocked when they hear we're staying in a 2 bed, 1.5 both for a fraction of the prices (especially friends who choose to stay in Arlington to save money). Our unit was brand new upon move in. Our only grievance unit wise is the washer/dryer combo. A cycle can take hours to complete. Use if you have an entire lazy day off. Otherwise, you'll end up spending a couple of dollars using the laundry room downstairs. A new community room opened up recently, which adds to the amenities

I have lived at The Metropolitan for a couple of years since it opened after being renovated and has always found the on-site management to be very professional. Emmanuel who is in charge of maintenance is always courteous, excellent in his response time and take care of any issues in a timely manner! I would recommend this Apartment complex to others.

I've lived here for almost 6 months now and can honestly say that I made the best decision. For DC, the price is extremely reasonable for beautifully remodeled units. The common areas/hallways are constantly cleaned and the employees are extremely kind. Water is included and electric is always on the low $ end with the external AC/heater units so that's a definite perk. Cons of this place are that they allow people to smoke cigarettes in the units so you can often smell it in the hallways, the washer/dryer unit is terrible (I don't even use it) so if you choose to live here you'll need to budget

I lived here for about a year and a half, and I am only leaving because I bought a house. I cannot say enough good things about living at The Metropolitan. The apartments are beautiful with historical charm but new, modern amenities. There is nothing cookie cutter about this building, unlike many others in DC. The apartments have basically brand new appliances that are of the highest quality. One of the things I will miss most about living here is the staff! They are incredibly warm, helpful, and responsive. When I went away, I knew my packages were safe with them. When something broke in the apartment

I moved out 4 months ago. I was supposed to receive my deposit back, but alas 4 months go by and no refund (refund is supposed to be issued within 45 days of move-out). Called and demanded my refund, management says checks will be reissued, two weeks go by and still nothing. Scammy!

Visited some friends here and was impressed the building got historic significant designation. It has many of the original ornamentation features still intact. Building has been updated with fob keys for elevator and front doors etc and it seems like a massive change from what this used to look like 20 years ago

I lived at Metropolitan Apartments for two years. I loved living there. If I ever had problems, of which there were few, management was very quick to respond and solve whatever my issue happened to be. The property manager Russell and the maintenance team were always courteous and helpful. Not being a smoker nor a dog lover they were very helpful in suggestions on how to eliminate both odors. I left only because I was relocating. The building is beautiful and everything that you could ever need is within walking distance. You will not regret living in this beautiful, well maintained building

I lived there from June 2015-October 2016. Mr. Russell (property manager) is an amazing guy. He is super kind and professional. The only reason I moved was to relocate out of state. If I ever had an issue, Emmanuel (the maintenance associate) helped quickly. I had such a pleasant experience living there :) I would recommend The metropolitan to any and everyone.

This an absolutely fantastic place to live. Great apartments, beautiful courtyard, and pet friendly. The manager, Russell, is always quick to respond and mediate any concerns. Emanuel, the maintenance guy, is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and fixes things quickly. My neighbors are respectful and issues are usually resolved resident to resident. This building is a mix of young professionals, older folks, and families. That means it's quiet after midnight every night . If you are looking for a place where you can play loud music all night --- keep looking. You won't be happy here because people

So happy to have stumbled upon this gem. Last January, I was suddenly in a situation where I had to find new housing quickly. I was in a panic and very hesitantly responded to an ad for The Metropolitan. I honestly thought it looked too good to be true. That same day, I made an appointment and stopped by. I was blown away. Russell, the leasing manager was so incredibly nice and helpful. I signed the lease that day and moved in within a month. Since then I have fallen in love with this charming historical building. I love the character but equally as important are the MODERN amenities.

I submitted an application for an apartment on 12/13/15. I was told I would hear back as soon as the pre-approval was completed. I gave two checks, one for an application fee of $60 and another for a security deposit if I was approved and I accepted, of $250. On 12/21 I received an email from the property manager Jasmine that I had been approved. I emailed her back that morning to let her know I could no longer accept the apartment. She called me to discuss and I explained that personal issues would not allow me to move at that time. I also apologized for not getting in touch sooner, but I had

MICE! MICE! MICE! I wish I could post pictures. Garbage chutes overflowing into hallways. Dumpsters not emptied and left for weeks. Holes in the bottom of the building where the HVAC connects. Holes left in the wall from the remodel, but the mice are my fault. Jasmine is a joke and clearly this building is run by amateurs. They refused to move me to a higher unit without paying more to once and for all exterminate. Mice were running across my feet during the day! Absolutely disgusting. DO NOT LIVE here or rent from Dreyfuss/MT Investments. Their service is ridiculous, I was blamed instead of heard
