For 30 years, our practice has been providing gentle comprehensive family-friendly dental care to our community. We invite you to meet our new owner Dr. Irene Gula and our skilled, kind, and caring team.
Dr. Gula believes that everybody deserves a beautiful smile. Dr. Gula earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at the University of Toronto, in Toronto, Canada. She then attended Northwestern University in Chicago, where she was placed on a Dean's list and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000.
Dr. Waeil Elmisalati is a board-certified periodontist and implant surgeon at City Edge Dental of Chicago. Dr. Waeil also taught as a professor of periodontics and dental implant at several academic institutions in the United States. He has published and reviewed research articles in reputable national and international dental journals.
Dr. Quan believes everyone deserves gentle dental care. Dr. Quan received her Bachelor of Science degree from GA Tech in Georgia. She then received a Doctor of Dental Medicine from The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Dr. Quan has been practicing dentistry for 11 years. In her free time, Dr. Quan enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Fun, expending, fast-paced office is looking for upbeat hygienist with excellent communication skills. Position including some Saturdays 7:30 am to 2 pm and Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 am till 7 pm. Candidates need to have good interpersonal skills, be organized, reliable, and able to take direction but also able to take the initiative.

If I could give them 6 stars, I would! Had the best experience at City Edge Dental. I have always hated the dentist prior to stepping into this office. I was so comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole appointment. Dr. Gula is amazing. She was warm, informative and very caring. Hygienist Monica did an incredible job on cleaning and whitening while being so nice and gentle. I will never go anywhere else for my dental needs, i wish i had found them sooner! Thank you Dr. Gula and staff!

I have spent the past two years trying different dentists in hopes of finding one that I felt provided excellent quality in a comfortable environment. After my cleaning appointment, I knew I had found what I was looking for in the past months. The office was clean and follows all the latest infection control recommendations, the staff was very welcoming, and Dr. Gula took her time to explain my treatment choices. Dr. Gula is one of the worst dentist there could ever be. She is soo money hungry all she cares about is your money not your oral health. She will lie to you saying you need expensive treatment to take your money. She will over charge you and not tell you, she will charge the insurance company without even doing the treatment. The very first visit something was wrong. They couldn't tell me any of my billing for fillings, braces, and a mouth guard. That someone would contact me. I work at an office so I know what it's like when you're short staff and people aren't properly trained, so I over looked it. Not a big deal, the service from the dental assistant was flawless and the doctor on duty told me I was grinding my teeth which shocked me. But no one ever contacted me about my benefits.

This dentist will lie that that teeth are in worse condition than it actually is to get you to pay for expensive treatments not covered by insurance. I had 8 fillings done in Sept 2018, 5 out of those 8 have to be redone. 1 filling fell out during a routine cleaning. I have to go to another dentist to redo 4 more. I would never go here. These reviews are fraudulent. If you care about your teeth go to Roseroot Dental.

Complete scammer -Billed my insurance company telling them the work was done when it wasn't, also ruined a tooth of mine where she told me that a filling was old and needed replacing when in fact it never ever bothered me, and after she replaced I was in pain for months and then she was saying I need a root canal or to remove the tooth. NIGHTMARE DENTIST- don't even think about going here. Workers there also very unprofessional. I was about a bill I received and their answer Hey you signed the disclosure so you have to pay. The worse service in recent memory. Physically walked into the office to schedule an appointment, one full month out. They took a copy of my insurance card and took down personal information. Asked the receptionist to please verify insurance coverage and to call me with any problems. Had to call them five days before my appointment to check on coverage, since no one called. All I got was, sorry we'll check and call you. Had to repeat my information, cause they didn't know have my info. Two days and two calls later was informed, yes your covered. I hate to bad mouth a place, but this is the worst dentist I have ever been to! I bought an in-house insurance plan that was around $245 and it included x-rays, 2 dental cleanings, a fluoride rinse, and 20% off future needs (cavaties etc). They refused to let me get my 2nd cleaning that was included in the plan I bought. They said it would be unethical to clean my teeth because I needed an $1,100 deep cleaning. I have been going to Dr. Gula for a year now for cleanings and a couple of fillings. I recently decided to have some cosmetic work done which has required several visits. Dr. Gula and Jenny are amazing. They are very detailed with their work and during procedures always checking to make sure I am comfortable. I wish I would have read the reviews before going here. This was a very negative experience and a waste of my time. I came in for a cleaning and cavity. I was told that I needed a root canal, which I understand and accepted that I would need to go see another specialist. What I did not understand was that the dentist now did not have time to even do my cleaning and let me know this at 6, an hour and a half into my appointment. DO NOT VISIT: Very unprofessional, damaged retainer during a cleaning but refused to accept responsibility. They also recommended unnecessary treatment just for the money. Not all staff are culpable I feel bad for the rest of them and hope they find other employment.

Dr. Gula is a fine dentist that gives optimum care. Dr. Gula goes to great lengths to be certain the patient is pleased. A number of years ago Dr. Gula designed a treatment plan for me that took a good portion of her time and expertise. At this time the plan is close to it's completion.

Please do yourselves a favor and do not come here. This is your warning. There are plenty of dental offices out there. This office has horrible receptionists and I witnessed that for myself more than once. The receptionists do not keep up with new changes or policy changes. They have an attitude and terrible communication. They do not take responsibility for their actions. This job should be given to someone who actually cares about the patients and cares enough about the practice. It's evident that these receptionists hate their job.

This place must be a scam for "deep gum cleanings". After my dentist moved to a new location that was to far for me to travel, I found City Edge from a google search and thought I would give it a try as they were close to where I lived. At the first (and only visit) that I scheduled in hopes to have my teeth cleaned I was told that they were just going to do a something like a consultation. WARNING!!!! Do not go to City Edge Dental. I bought from Groupon the voucher to go in for x-rays, cleaning, and exam. First off, I had to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time before they got me into a room. Then I was told by the Tech the computer had to warm up before she could do the x-ray. After the x-ray another 10 min before Dr. Gula came in. She checked my teeth, and told me she could not do a regular cleaning, I had to do a deep cleaning for $700.00 because of my deep pockets, and they cannot do the regular cleaning. Would not come back or would ever recommend this place to anyone! I went to do a checkup and a simple teeth cleaning. It was my first time there bc I couldn't get an app with my old doctor. This doctor Gula obviously want to make more money and want me to do the special deep cleaning and want to charge me around 700 which my insurance was not covered, my insurance just covered for a regular cleaning and basic exam. Of course I say no way- why would anyone pay that much money up front when you have literally sit there for 30 min, I didn't trust her and she was looking at my teeth literally

This is an update on City Edge Dental. Thank goodness they are under new management.
I had never planned to go there again till they called and told me there was a new dentist and I assume had read my first review of them and offered a free cleaning. I took them up on it but felt a tad awkward going there.
Suprise, surprise, Dr. Gula, the new owner seems quite nice and so did everyone else.
I honestly can't give 5 stars because I didn't have any work done there to judge them by.

I wanted to write in to document what I have been going through for the past 2 months with City Edge Dental. I went in for a routine filling for a small cavity to find out that in the chair that Dr. Ziefert, my dentist of about 20 years, has retired suddenly and that I now had a new dentist that would take care of me from here forward.
