I had been going to this branch for all my optometric needs for about 10years with my family. This place is more focused on their dollars and less on you as a customer or your circumstance, with office managers that refuse to return calls to long-time "valued" customers. So much for service quality. I have also tried to speak to Dr. Simpson about my issues, and safe to say after 9+months, my call will not likely be returned. I am not a demanding customer, but the change has certainly rubbed me the wrong way.

My family of 6 has used Dr. Simpson and this location for over 11 years. He has watched my kids go from elementary off to college. One of my sons drove all night from Missouri to get to his appointment at 9 am this morning and got there 1 minute past their 15 min late policy so they turned him away. One minute?!?! Really? How many times have we all as the patients at and waited a lot longer that 15 or 20 or even 30 mins to be seen through the years? I was on the phone with them at 9:04 am letting them know he was almost there. They could have checked him in, I even had my other son there… but

Getting frustrated with the customer service at VSA. I have been calling for days, I have also emailed, trying to get a copy of my daughter's RX so I can order her an inexpensive back up pair of glasses now that she is at school. We have a global pandemic and things that can be done over the phone, fax, or email should be. I keep getting routed to their call center and he can't get a response from anyone either.
My experience while at VSA is great, the optometrists and fitters are excellent. However, it is not possible to get anyone on the phone or email to answer questions and that's a big issue

Tried this store after going to the deer brook location for several years. Initially everything was great, the doctor was very polite and very thorough. When I started to look at glasses the lady told me my insurance would not cover Oakley, Ray-Ban, and several of the other higher end brands. Have received Oakley glasses for years and same insurance policy has always covered it. Called the insurance company and they said that it covers $150 toward any frame, brand is not relevant. I told the lady and she said it was store policy not insurance policy. Sounds like they're just trying to get you to

The doctor was ok but didn’t appear to be very thorough. I’ve been going to Vision Source Atascosita for several years and have always had female doctors and great experiences but this time, I had a male doctor who failed to pick up on things the other doctors had mentioned and warned me of. Also, when I called to check on the status of my glasses, I could not get hold of anybody! I called for 2 days, for the entire day and left messages with no return calls. Totally unprofessional.

My review is not for the services provided, as they have always been very good. My review today is regarding sending me 35 texts telling me of my appointment on a specific day, at a specific time and then when I show up at said time, I do not have an appointment. The receptionist asked me if I had hit "C" to confirm. No, I didn't. Because you told me 35 times that I had an appointment and even sent a text right before my appoint stating "Looking forward to seeing you at ......". Not only that, there wasn't even a slot for me to have an appointment at that time because, I guess, they double/triple

Let me start off by saying Dr. Simpson deserves five stars. He's personable and takes his time with your exam. However, the establishment that he works in deserves 0 stars!
I should've done my research before even scheduling my appointment here, but it was to my home and I said why not.
I went in for an eye exam and in the need of glasses because I lost mine on vacation. My eyes were already struggling from the time without them so I needed my glasses to be rushed.
The lady who helped me pick out the frames told me it's a two week turn around. That's super long in comparison

I've been going to Dr. Block for 12 years. After I got married I started bringing my husband despite living in the medical center who was just bouncing from optometrist to optometrist. Dr. Turner and Dr. Zaver are also amazing. My husband loves this practice and they were also able to sell my husband same day glasses when he had an eye infection but had just sent his old frames to be updated

My first visit in 2-3 years was Wednesday. As I walked in I was greeted by four lovely women all had smiles. Once checked in and filled out a small form. It was only 3 minutes once I was taken back to get my eyes checked. The staff and doctor Simpson were all very nice and kind. Even when picking out my frames, lenses, and help with insurance coverages all thanks to Dan!!

I had such a great experience with this practice. When I first walked in it was very clear where to go and the receptionists were very welcoming and friendly. They had me take a seat and wait to be called back. I did not have to wait long at all before I was taken back to get tests started. As soon as initial testing was done I was taken to a room and the doctor immediately walked in. My doctor was Dr turner who is not mentioned on the website but she was amazing! I went in Feb. 2014 for an eye exam and to see about switching to contacts. I loved my Dr Jenny Mak. She answered all my questions about let me try two different brands of contacts to see what I was comfortable with instead of just telling me which ones to buy. The staff took their time to help with my insurance. Great doctor, clean office, nice staff.

Dr. Simpson is the best! I've followed him through a couple of different Vision Source offices, and I like him even better now that he's in a smaller, better-run office. Wait time is minimal, prices are reasonable, and Dr. Simpson DOES NOT rush you - he makes a point of not doing so. I always choose to go here because I feel like I'm being taken care of as a real person, not another name on the list before closing time. I highly recommend Dr. Simpson to anyone in the Houston area.

Dr Simpson is the absolute best!
I've been going to Dr Simpson for over 10 years. All my klds have been to him too.
I live in Austin now and I still see him. As my eye have changed he has done all kinds of things that kept me of readers.
When my mom had macular degeneration he emailed a ton of useful info on that...even though he was on vacation at the time!
My daughter had a rare issue called scotopic sensitivity...he not only identified it but also directed us to a great specialist.
You won't meet a nicer or more professional provider anywhere.

I've always had great service at this branch of Vision Source. My appointments have always been on time and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a very good selection of glasses on hand. The location is excellent as well. I have no complaints and would recommend this office to anyone.
