St Hilaire Winery
St. Hilaire Vineyard was planted in 1998 and located just east of the 101 Highway in Templeton, CA. Year old grafts were planted with a long-term vision of producing low-yielding vines and high quality fruit. For 22 years we worked the vineyard, built a home and improved on our wine making skills. As of 2020, we were growing and producing outstanding wines from our Cabernet, Merlot and Zinfandel.

At the end of 2020 we made the difficult decision to sell both our home and the vineyard. It was time to reduce our work load and finally enjoy retirement. At the time of the sale, we still had several hundred cases of award winning wines in our inventory so St. Hilaire Wine Club will continue on for at least the next few years.
Services
John and Laural Anderson are long time residents of the Central Coast. John migrated to the area 30 years ago and Laural moved here with her family 50 years ago. With basic knowledge, John began making wine in 1994. A friend's garage served as his first enology classroom with grapes being purchased from various locations in the Paso Robles/Templeton area.
A classic for sure. The 2009 Cabernet is a bold fruit forward wine with a strong emphasis on the dark cherry and blackberry aromas. It has been aged in French oak barrels giving it great tannin structure including nuances of smoke and nuts. This estate late harvest Zinfandel comes from head trained vines grown in the Templeton gap region of Paso Robles.
The 2015 growing season is well underway and despite mother nature's lack of water the vines are thriving. Our crop looks good this year and we can't wait to see what the summer brings. The vineyard is full of young grapes and with very few "shot clusters" we should have a terrific year, especially for our Zinfandel.
