Originally slated to be a simple extension of what we do at our Vineyard & Winery in Escondido has now become its own thing all together. Which is awesome. Let me tell you why. You love Orfila wine, right? We do too. What better way to enjoy it than by pairing it with the world class cuisine Chef Luke Morganstern cooks up every single day.

We were on our way to Julian for camping. Decided to kill some time to wait for our friends so dropped by. It was a little misty outside, so we tasted inside. $20 for 4 tastings. It was extremely hard to get someone’s attention even though there were many employees, it’s like they avoid eye contact and customer service. Once we got started, still took long to waive someone down for our next tasting. But one guy finally helped us and he was great! He was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. As for the tastings, 4 very stingy tastings. Suppose to be 1.5 oz but looks more of 1 oz. They

Our first visit after pandemic. The view was the only only good thing during this visit. They increased the price and the girl who worked outside was extremely rude.

The winery is absolutely gorgeous. I love the set up for outdoor seating. You can bring a large or small party if you want. The winery is large, so you can walk around and see the different sections for the wines. I highly recommend this winery even for large events. It’s also great for picture opportunities.

So glad Orfila winery is back open for business with no restrictions! No reservations required, food trucks on the weekends, music on Sunday afternoons. It doesn't get any better!

Kids are not allowed except in the back “picnic” area with exposed wires. The picnic tables just face houses. See photos. The employees were rude about this rule, and they seemed to be applied inconsistently as another couple was allowed “out front” with their two kids. While we were being informed of the no-children rule, another couple was in the tasting room & mentioned to us the employee was also rude to them when they asked for water. 0/10 on service for sure.
It’s a shame, wines are good otherwise.
