We are a family owned and operated vineyard in Escondido, North San Diego County. Our passion is growing wine and sharing it with enthusiasts like you. Born from the ashes of the 2007 San Diego Firestorm and discovery that William Winn first planted vines here in 1893. Our niche is balanced wine made from grapes that are native to Spain. We make 100% of our wines from grapes that we grow at our vineyard in Escondido and from grapes we buy, both locally and from some of the finest wine growing regions in California.
Services
Grapes were first planted on our property in 1893 by William Winn; the first commercial winery built in 1936 by Lewis and Alta Hart. Around 1950, the winery was converted to a machine shop and vineyards lay fallow for more than fifty years. At last, the old winery burned to the ground in the 2007 San Diego "Firestorm".

By far the best winery in town. Good atmosphere, friendly owners and excellent wine. Definitely a jewel in San Diego county . Excellent for a wedding or a get together with friends or family. I was impressed with the friendly ambient and the quality of the wine and music. I definitely recommend this winery before going to any other place so you can experience a really local winery.

The staff was very attentive and nice I would have liked an option of some food. We picked this place around lunch time but the only option was very good cheese crackers, olives and salame with your wine . You can order food but we were not familiar with the area so had to wait till the next winery to eat. Overall the wine was delicious

I have to say, I've been to a lot of wineries. But, Espinosa's is amazing! Roberto and his awesome! His wife is the sweetest! They are very welcoming! This is what a winery should be all about! The owners told us all about their wine and winery's story! My hubby and I, did a tasting first to see what wine we would like, but I have to say, I had more than one favorite!
This place is perfect, so cute! You can bring your own picnic food and eat it there at their cute picnic area, while you enjoy their fine wine.
The atmosphere is so welcoming!
I will definitely will be back and

We truly enjoyed our afternoon at Espinosa Vineyards and Winery. Roberto, Noelle and their family are very welcoming and delightful. They have created a beautiful and relaxing property along with wonderful wines.
We also appreciated that we could bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with our wines. Roberto, who is the winemaker, poured for our tasting. He is an outstanding and interesting host. We enjoyed all the wines, especially the Pinot Noir and the Syrah!
We have been to many wineries in California wine regions and this experience was one of our favorites. Many thanks to the Espinosa family for

Owners are absolutely amazing and every single wine here is delicious. I've never done a tasting where I've loved every wine, and this was the first time. The atmosphere is gorgeous and calming and extremely welcoming. Noelle and Roberto explained everything in our tasting and were so hospitable. We've done a lot of tasting in Temecula and Escondido and this is definitely the best place to go to!

I was entertaining my friends from Acapulco, our 1st time in the area, we did do a few places on the way, and this is a family ran business, I made reservations, its a small place with a few options to choose your view and setting, it was more like a feel of your own back yard and of course nicer views lol, they didn't have many Options of Wine, but we managed and it was ok for us to bring our own appetizers or food, the owners both Husband, Wife and Daughter o and Puppy and Cat, all made us feel like Home, Thank you, Im a fan I will be back !!

What a nice opportunity to find this delightful winery not more than 30 minutes from my home.
Noel and Roberto were wonderful hosts who know how to engage in conversations about their boutique wines, Roberto the wine maker has a discerning palate complex flavors with a touch of fruit. The surrounding area is quite and peaceful.
They are a short drive to the Wild Animal Park.
if you are looking for a local treat visit this winery you will not be disappointed

The Espinosa family has a nice concept. Small quantities, they keep it strictly family run/produced, not trying to do more than they can handle. The husband, Roberto, is the winemaker and has a nice palate. His micro biology background has suited him well. They have their own small vineyard, but the yield is not necessarily representative of the variety of wines they present. Their fruit comes from all over California.
You must get off the beaten path to find this little piece of heaven, driving into the golden hills on winding, dusty roads. This entire area is quite new to the wine industry

This place was our third and last stop on the winery tour I took a couple months ago. Roberto and Noelle Espinosa, the owners, operate this boutique winery in the foothills of Escondido. Roberto, who is also the winemaker, focuses on making small lot wines from grapes that they grow of Spanish origin and their wines are only available at the winery.
The first wine I tasted was the 2017 Rosado, which was light and refreshing. After sharing a few stories with our group, we headed towards the cellar, which I was told is a great place to stay if there was a fire or earthquake! They store their bottles

Espinosa Winery is tucked away in East Escondido surrounded by beautiful rolling hills. The winery has many large pines surrounding the patio area and makes for a nice canopy of shade. And when the wind blow the pines whisper....I love it!
Denise was our sever, very nice. We would go sit down and talk and Denise would appear with our next varietal for tasting. She was very attentive and I like that she would find us.
The barrel room was open so we got to go in and look around. Small by comparison but relative to them being very boutique in size. Built under a hill it stays quite cool and perfect
