All class times are for beginners. You are led by instructions word by word with simple, direct vocabulary through the entire 90 minute long class. We encourage you to be patient with your practice. At about 4-6 classes, you will begin to understand the process and feel your potential, the heat will no longer be a shock, and in short time you begin acclimating to the environment.
Pure Bikram Yoga was established in New Albany, Indiana in 2001 by the brother-sister team of Alexander King ll & Ayanna Brown. We are excited you are considering Bikram Yoga. This was my first time trying hot yoga. I'm not a yogi by any means but I do enjoy the workout as well as the relaxation. I love stretching in a sauna so I thought hot yoga would be a good fit for me. It was a great fit! Ayanna was very welcoming at 7am on a Saturday morning! Welcoming and knowledgeable, she has had this award winning yoga studio for nearly 20 years. With testimonials on the wall as well as fellow classmates welcoming me and telling me how much Bikram Yoga has helped them, I will most definitely be a returning student. When I 1st heard of hot yoga, I thought no way! You would have to be nuts! Boy was I wrong! It's the best thing I ever did for myself. I absolutely love it. I'm there at least 5 to 6 days a week. The instructors are incredible! They are so kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They practice AUTHENTIC Bikram here! If you want the real McCoy, I mean Bikram.....this is the place to be.

Hot yoga sounds horrible, but it is amazing how quickly you get used to the heat. The instructors also help you get comfortable by keeping the class at a pace that allows experts to push themselves and novices to look around, listen and emulate as best they can. The poses commence in the same order each class, so you know what's coming up. The classes are at specific times and you can't get in if you're late. Bring your mat, a towel and a bunch of water.

After taking many hot yoga classes in IN, KY, MI and FL, Bikram's Yoga College in New Albany, IN is the best around! I have NEVER had a class that didn't deliver what was promised through the practice of Bikram. After taking many variations of hot yoga classes at other studios, they left my shoulder and back injured due to poor teaching and hybrid moves. I have been taking classes 3x/wk at Bikram's Yoga College in New Albany for over a year and have not suffered one injury.... I have only become stronger, more flexible and healthier physically and mentally. Try a class today!!!!
