The controlled access doors malfunctioned our entire 7 month residency here, meaning we were locked out of our own apartment countless times and had to wait outside or in the parking garage for someone inside to (hopefully) notice and let us in. Even if we got locked out during business hours, the leasing office doesn't answer the phone, so we were stuck waiting regardless. We got frequent emails that the doors were being repaired to no avail. This is truly a safety issue that doesn't seem to be taken seriously.
Management was practically unreachable; none of my phone calls were answered

Edit: PLEASE DO NOT MOVE IN! Only got 1 star because I had to leave something! If you’ve had a similar experience, please reach out to me! I believe they are getting over on multiple tenants. It runs like a scam.
I JUST received my letter after move out and to no surprise (just like the most recent reviewer, I was charged $500 for cleanup). This apartment charged $100 standard clean up fee (although I left the apartment spotless and I don’t recall this fee being automatically deducted from security deposit in the lease). Oh, also, I was charged $135 for a carpet in the bedroom and I have pictures

TLDR; the worst manger team with rip off moveout cleaning charges ($500+) DONT LIVE HERE ❌❌❌❌
I’d give the room itself 4/5 from how new it was, but gives 0.5 for the manager team. Other than those broken frontdoor locks, trash chutes didn’t work (which took weeks to fix), and other problems like the previous comment mentioned, we also got ignored by the manger team to respond to various issues and especially when we moved out. I have never write a review for an apartment, but this is the WORST I’ve ever lived at.

I wanted to love this apartment, but there are simply too many things to ignore. Aesthetically, the building is beautiful. I wholeheartedly agree with the previous reviewer that spoke on the treatment of management. Although you will receive weekly emails about trash chutes not working, not being able to access the front door (very problematic, especially if you are coming home after dark and forced to walk in an alley to access the back door), the garage being broken, etc., they are not responsive to inquiries about issues that their staff has caused. I have been emailing for months about a bill

This is a wonderful apartment complex. The location is absolutely fabulous...very close to major employers AND dining and shopping options. The apartment construction is modern and tasteful, bright windows and open floor plans. Management on site is terrific with kind and courteous team. Very competitive rents and attractive terms. The amenities at the complex are just right. All the necessities, but not "over the top". Check out the roof top lounges, the Recreation room and the storage and garage facilities. Amazing!

My boyfriend and I lived here for a year prior to moving out over the summer. We loved living at the Napoleon. The location was so convenient! We were close to Met Market and a short drive from Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s in University Place. The Napoleon was also within walking distance of many shops and restaurants on Pacific Ave and the Foss Waterway. Management was always very responsive— Breanna and Shelby were probably the best management staff we’ve had (we’ve lived in a few apartments and also comparing that to our current management). The only issue we had were loud neighbors

A wonderful place to call home. The apartments are clean and modern, and the gym and outdoor areas are fantastic. I can see Mount Rainier from my balcony! Plus, I'm really close to all the shops and action in downtown Tacoma. If you're looking for a nice place to call home, don't skip Napoleon. (Icing on the cake: management rocks. Shelby will go above and beyond to take care of you.)

I have been in apartments that are overpriced and have rude staff. Just from what I'm reading on here I am very interested.I am currently on a new lease at another apartment where i was forced to leave my unit due to renovations and short time to find a new place right before christmas! I unfortunately stayed at the same apartments and moved into one of their poorly renovated ones. When my lease is expired I will not be renewing it. I am moving here for sure! See you in 2021😓

The perfect spot in downtown Tacoma, everything is well manicured. Shelby, Siara and management have been extremely friendly and helpful with moving in and working out the kinks of the new building. Dogs welcome, big hangout spaces and an awesome view. Everyone here is friendly, and itll be fun to see the community grow as the building fills up!
