This apartment was a huge reason why I loved living in Birmingham so much! I lived here for one year for graduate school and wished it could have been longer. The staff is incredibly kind. I only had to submit a maintenance request once and it was fixed the same day. Very safe complex that will feel like your new home.

Recently moved my daughter into this apartment complex while preparing to finish her final year at Samford. During setup of our first monthly rent payment, we mistakenly forgot to have sufficient funds in our account to pay the rent. I called the office the first morning they were open when we saw the issue.
I asked if they would waive the late fee ($150) given we had just moved in and that we only missed it by one day given the 4th of July Weekend. The community manager would not consider it.
It could have been a very different review had they been willing to work with us but unfortunately not

They've been prompt with any maintenance request that I 've had to this point. I just resign my lease to continue my stay. The maintenance personnel has been nothing but professional. Management staff have all been quick to solve any question that I may have had. Seem safe to me so far,I haven't had any problems yet.

The office staff is super friendly and have been since I moved here in 2017. They always have some sort of gathering for us to show appreciation. This helps us become closer and get to know our neighbors more.Our maintenance guy is incredible and super quick to take care of any request I put in. The residents here are so nice and caring, which makes the living experience even more wonderful. If you’re looking for a nice, clean and safe place to stay with beautiful landscaping! I have lived at the village for about six months now and have loved it!! The apartments are a great size with big kitchens and living rooms and awesome bedrooms/closets/bathrooms. My roommate and I love all that the village does for us! Shout out to Caitlin for helping us sign a lease and when we first moved in and shout out to Austin for always putting our packages where we can get them if the office is closed! Thank you!!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the past 10 months as a resident at The Village. The apartment floor-plan layouts are quite spacious and very accommodating for the average individual. The unit has nice standard appliances, including W/D and high end kitchen finishes. What I've appreciated most as a tenant is the leasing office staff. They made an effort to get to know me by name and quickly prioritize any service order or maintenance request I submit to be completed. I would definitely recommend this property.

I would never recommend anyone to live here at The Village at Lakeshore. This apartment complex is UNSAFE. There have been multiple car break-ins and reports of suspicious activity just within this past month. There is a gate at the entrance, but is is OPEN all of the time. The manager says they do not owe us security nor have the funds for any more security measures. The only advice we received was to "lock our cars" yet car windows are being busted. The manager here, Samirah, has one of the worst attitudes and has been one of the most disrespectful managers I have ever had to deal with

Really really love living here for the past two years. Amenities are great, maintenance is so friendly, staff is awesome. I love that they offer free yoga classes to the residents! There is always something going on. Only down fall for me is location. Lakeshore can get pretty congested in the mornings and afternoons.
