Before home inspections were commonplace and regulated, Bruce Schaefer recognized how vulnerable homebuyers were to unknown deficiencies in a home they were purchasing. He saw the value a home inspection could provide home buyers/sellers.

Bill Wilkes conducted my home inspection yesterday, and I cannot begin to stress how far my expectations were exceeded. As it is my husband and I's first time buying a home, Bill went above and beyond with thoroughness and care, and explained everything to the point of where I could repeat it back to him myself with true understanding. As first time homebuyers we were incredibly satisfied with the work of Mark Barnes at Schaefer Inspection Service. He was very congenial, super attentive to our questions and concerns, and did a really phenomenal job not only inspecting the home but teaching us about the different services, utilities, and idiosyncrasies of the property. Before buying our home, we used Schaffer Inspection Service recommended by our realtor. They were great in scheduling us with short notice. Paul Block was our inspector and was very professional and punctual. He was very thorough in inspecting the house from the roof, attic to the basement, appliances, electricity, etc. He explained everything in detail, including photos, and gave us great constructive feedback. His report was very detailed, and we received it the same day.

We had a great experience with Schaefer. Our inspector, John Hamlin, was incredibly thorough and took his time to inspect each element of the 1930-built house we are looking to buy.
