Born to a farming family in Eastern Washington, Founder Casey McClellan learned about agriculture at a young age. Later, Casey and his wife, Vicky, began to cultivate an interest in wine and developed a long term vision to make wine from the family farm in Walla Walla Valley.
They drew further inspiration during a European cycling trip through wine country, where they experienced wine as an integral foundation to these communities and an important, vital part of small town agricultural life.In the early 1980s, Casey and his family planted the founding blocks of their future winery, 21 acres of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

I highly recommend this place mainly because Frank is very knowledgeable about wine, production, and the history of the area. We really enjoyed listening to him and his stories made us appreciate their wines even more. My faves are their Grenache and Pentad red blend. Also, the tasting room is cozy and their print materials including their label are classy.

Wonderful winery! One of the originals in the Walla Walla region. Lovely tasting room with a great selection of reds, whites, and rosés. Staff was extremely knowledgeable about the company and the wine making process and were able to answer questions. We were given a tour of the cellar and a special barrel tasting (double bonus as we got to escape the 110 degree heat wave). Bought two bottles which waives the tasting fees. All around great place.

Super friendly staff. We walked in without reservations. Tours were closed due to Covid restrictions but the two lovely women at the counter took very good care of us. We tasted great wines and had a fun, tasteful snack platter. The gal helping us was very knowledgeable and made the experience very enjoyable. If you have never tasted wine before or even if you are an old hand at it I recommend a stop here.

Seven Hills was one of our first stops on a Girls' Weekend celebrating a birthday. The birthday girl had this as one of her chosen stops and the tasting room/building itself was amazing! Very spacious and I could see having a private special event in such a large and bright space (historic mill building!)
When I booked our tasting, the website said to allow ~45 minutes. We had 55 minutes as our next tasting was booked an hour later. This was the trickiest part of our whole weekend, but in almost all of our stops these reservations did give us an almost private experience.

Across two years of visits now, Seven Hills remains my favorite tasting room in Walla Walla proper. They have a beautiful space in what appears to be reclaimed warehouse. This year, we were the first group to taste on a Saturday morning. Between the snow, the pandemic, and the early hour, we had the place to ourselves. The somm spent a lot of time with us, knew her stuff, and was full of good energy. One of the hidden delights was a side-by-side she had us do of carmenere vs. cab franc to understand the differences in those two varietals.
But ultimately, any tasting room stands on the quality

After looking at the reviews we had high expectations. Expectations not met. We were 30 feet from an outdoor check-in table when the girl working there began flapping her arms for my wife to pull up her mask. They sat us down and she said, "you're welcome to remove your mask while you taste the wine." How gracious, we generally drink and eat through our masks. The wine was very lackluster and unimpressive. It was thin and lacked body.

Phenomenal wines in a gorgeous intimate setting with extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. We went as they reopened post-COVID and had a great experience.
Wines themselves are top 3 ones we tried in Walla Walla. Highly recommend.
Finally, the handwritten letter mailed to us was a nice, sophisticated touch. We will definitely drink their wines and come back to visit as well!

We visited Seven Hills Winery, as we read it was one of the founding wineries in Walla Walla, so wanted to make sure to not miss out on this particular one! We had a nice time here and the wine was good.
We made a reservation for a tasting, which you can do online. The reservation also holds your spot if you want to tour the facility for an additional 10 bucks. You can see on the tour the production of their wines, especially since this tasting room is located in a historic mill building. But if you just want to do the tasting, there was no pressure to do the tour, which was nice. Thus,

Soooo disappointing. The staff needs some serious help in certain areas. They had the brain for the wine, but zero heart. It was perhaps the most uncomfortable tasting we have ever experienced. As a guest it truly is not our responsibility to engage them, they should embrace us! By far the worst winery we visited this weekend. Their wine is awesome, now they need a staff that can actually sell it!

This is the most spacious wine tasting room I've seen. There is a lot of empty space. And the walls are white so the whole place is a bit celestial.
The wine tasting was enjoyable. There were not too many people there near closing so we got a lot of attention from the staff. I wish they had more white wines but the majority of their tasting was red. They did have a summer rosé for us to sample, but that was unfortunately it.
Ultimately, none of the reds worked out for us but it was still pretty cool to visit and to check out the items for sale as well.

Visited Walla Walla for the weekend and just walked into a random winery, sooo glad it happened to be Seven Hills!
The inside is adorable and just a cute atmosphere. There’s places to sit and enjoy a drink, but we just walked up to the front for a wine tasting. We ended up doing the full flight (six wines I think?) and it was delicious.
I’m no wine expert but the woman helping us (I didn’t catch her name!) was incredible. She was so friendly, walked us through each wine and gave fun facts about each one, and was generally very helpful helping us plan the rest of our day. She offered food

This was our first stop in Walla Walla! And it set us up for a great weekend. The people here were so friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and the area. We got a map with restaurants marked as well as other tasting rooms to visit. Be sure to try their petit verdot, really interesting and different.
The space inside is beautiful with lots of great light. I wish they would play some music but otherwise it was perfect.

Outstanding. We've been coming here since 1996 and we've never been disappointed. They make stellar wine which is always creative and of the highest quality. While it may seem expensive, if you do a comparison of the quality of wine you'd receive at other places, you'll find its actually quite affordable. Don't just taste the reds! They make awesome white wines. They're always friendly and generous with the pours. I love this place.

This is my favorite winery for a number of reasons.
The WINE: I am a very picky wine drinker, and the red wines here are the smoothest I can find. Their Cab Sauvs age beautifully. I found a 10-year-old bottle of Cab Sauv, Seven Hills Vineyard, in my "cellar" and thought, "How did I miss drinking this?" What a wonderful wine. Truly wonderful Malbec, too. As for the whites, I'm not a white wine drinker at all, but I bought a couple of their Late Harvest Riesling because I adored the bottle, but then I fell in love. If it's a hot day, even if you're like me and

I love everything Seven Hills. If you are lucky to get your hands on their rosé get extra! Wines are superb, people are friendly. Tasting room is simply and tastefully done. Gorgeous Malbec and Merlot. Really can't go wrong with any wines here. Downtown facility, so within walking distance to your hotel. Classic, timeless wines.

Yes! This place was fabulous! Great Wines, Friendly Service, and lots of history/stories about this winery! Loved it! I wanted to buy one of everything here, but my budget nor my suitcase would allow that, but next year when I come back to Walla Walla I will keep this place in mind! Great Location too!

The Seven Hill Winery is conveniently located only a couple of blocks from the center of downtown and only one block from the Marcus Whitman Hotel and Conference Center.
The wine tasting fee is $5 but this fee can be used to offset the cost of any wine that you buy.
This winery has an excellent selection of whites and reds. Its Cabernet Sauvignon is always very flavorful and it produces a variety of different wines.
Its whites always score well and complement many dishes.
My favorites are the Carmenere and Petit Verdot at this time although the Ciel du Cheval is really smooth.
I tried the Seven

Large facility with visibility to many of the winery's operations, the winery/tasting room is near downtown in a renovated old warehouse. Pleasant servers and solid wines helped make our tasting experience good. We purchased their red blend Ciel du Cheval. A good visit just not outstanding like some of the others in the area.

We had a really great experience with this winery. The lady was really nice , and super helpful. She even sold us a shipping box for our other wine to check in at the airport. We were in a bit of a hurry and didn't get to fully enjoy our tasting but it was definitely worth checking out. If you're just passing by and want to catch a winery without having to make an appointment , this is the place for you.

I would really love to have tastes the wines. But I went here today and was completely ignored. I'm in town for business so a single male who loves wine tasting I thought I would go for an afternoon and try a couple places. Since this one had such high reviews I was really looking forward to comparing it to my local napa wineries I spend a lot of time at.
I walked in and there was one woman behind the counter, 4 women being served tastings. I stood at the counter and waited to be greeted.
The person working continues to chat with and pour the women two more tastings. Not even once acknowledging
