Visited Canvasback on Holiday Barrel Tasting Weekend, and appreciated all the tasting straight from the barrel compared with the longer aged wines. Had brisket chili, to pair with the wines, that was to die for! Appreciated getting the opportunity to speak with the wine maker as well during our visit. The outdoor atmosphere was cozy with warm blankets and patio fireplaces! This is a must stop on your walla walla trip!

I've been to many wineries here in Washington and Oregon. So far this is the best I've ever been. Not only is the wine is excellent but the service is exceptional. Luis is not only knowledgeable but personable and made our wine tasting even so enjoyable and pleasant. We will making our future wine tasting visits more frequent.

We love the Duckhorn portfolio wines and Canvasback did not disappoint. Our host, Toby, was knowledgeable and fun to chat with. The grounds are beautiful; would have loved to sit outside if hadn’t been so hot.

Love this place! For Napa lovers, they are affiliated with Duckhorn and Parradeaux, which I love. They have a gorgeous outdoor area. Fire pit and blankets in comfy Adirondack chairs for cool mornings and umbrellas by all tables for sunny afternoons. Wine is delicious! They pour a welcome white but are known for the reds. We tried both the vertical tasting and the classic. They did a bonus pour of the Grand Passage which they make from the beet lot of grapes. Wine tasting itself is pricey ($20 or $40) but refunded when your purchase a few bottles. Yes, kids are allowed! Our new fav spot!

A new discovery and one of the highlights of our recent trip to Walla Walla. They have a beautiful location and a warming/welcoming staff.
We enhanced the tasting experience with one of their FABULOUS charcuterie boards. Truly phenomenal to enjoy and pair with the wines. The flavors were magnificent!

We visited Canvasback on a weekday so we were able to sit outside without sharing space with other groups. Canvasback has a gorgeous view, relaxed atmosphere and hospitable staffs. The staff gave us a concise introduction to the history of the winery as well as the wine regions in Washington. Very impressed by the Walla Walla Syrah! Reservations in advance needed during COVID-19. $15 tasting fee, waived with $40 purchase.

Although the gentleman that did our wine tasting was very nice and gave great service amid wierd COVID times, the woman (manager/owner?) who ran out to tell us we needed to wear a mask when walking thru the grass was incredibly rude and a horrible way to start off our day of wine tasting. We should of just left, but tried to salvage the visit. There was no one else there and we sat alone outside, zero reason for her to get hostile. But I understand why the place was empty with customer service like that! Won’t buy their wine or ever go back.

Had a wonderful experience here yesterday. Great customer service and spaced out due to covid. You get 2 hours with reservation to taste the wines. We had a cab flight. The 2017 Red Mountain Cab and 2016 Walla Cab were my favorites as they had less tannin (prefer to enjoy less acidic cabs). However, all were wonderful! Added bonus The rose was wonderful too :)

Great wine and a really good grounds. Fire pit and couches along with some grass area with yard games. Their taste was $15, which is more than average. They provide it in a flight which is nice to compose the differences. Staff was really attentive and took the time to explain the wines, regions and differences.

Also very approachable. Or wine snobby at all. Highly recommended and will visit again.

I visited Canvasback during their pre-opening weekend prior to Spring Release this year and they already couldn't have been more accommodating! I took a rather large group of family and friends with me to experience it together and we were all so impressed. The wines were all gorgeous and I do appreciate the opportunity to try the same varietals and vintages from different local AVA's as well as the beautiful setting in the south side of Walla Walla Valley.

Brian Rudin is a fantastic winemaker and I really enjoy his very engaging, energetic and fun personality as well as passion for

Heads up... they DO NOT wave the tasting fee even if you buy a bottle of wine from them. Every other winery I have ever been to waves the tasting fee. You had to spend $100 before they would wave the fee (only one tasting fee waved) we went to two winery's right down the road and both waved the tasting fee for all of our 12 person group after just one of us bought only one bottle of wine. This winery obviously is VERY proud of themselves and their wine.... and it's not even their grapes (they get their grapes from Tri Cities). Anyways not impressed.
