The Cab House at Hansen Vineyard & Winery is known for excellent, award winning Cabernet Sauvignon Wines. Taste with winemaker Bruce Hansen in the winery he built in 1993. Bruce oversees everything with extreme attention to detail, from planting, growing and harvest, to barrels, fermentation and bottling.

As a Small Boutique Winery, we offer ultra-premium handmade wines produced in small lots from our very own winery and vineyard. Our vineyards consist of 30 acres of 10-20+ year old root stock and the soil consists of mainly nutrient rich black adobe with an abundance of shale and limestone.

The greatest experience ever in wine tasting! Was it the amazing Cabernets, so elegantly crafted? Or the entertaining host, Bruce Hansen, who so eloquently led us through the wines with humor and insightful glimpses of his rich winemaking philosophy. You'll be charmed and fall a bit in love with this eccentric character but be prepared to ship home at least one full case of wine. You will be astounded by the depth of quality of Hansen Cabs.

A tasting usually consists of around 10 open cabs, and they're all delicious! It's hard to decide which to bring home, so we joined their wine club to make sure we get a chance to keep enjoying.
Bruce is such a character. His wines are great, and it's a welcoming place to visit.
Dogs allowed, outside food ok, easy to make reservations by phone or email.

Such a memorable stop on our trip to Paso Robles. We ran into a brother and sister in the downtown area that were raving about this winery so we went. And gosh are we glad we did. We entered The Cab House and were greeted with "well I hope you're ready to taste some cab because we have 9 to go through" like music to my ears. We left as wine club members and a few bottles that were hard to choose from. If you like cabs, this is a must stop!

If you are looking for a genuine experience and great cab, please make a point to visit Hansen Vineyard for a tasting. Bruce was knowledgeable and offered generous pours with insightful pointers. I swear he knew my pallet better than I do! And it's simple without any marketing fluff. Best cat assistant ever!

I'm pretty sure we were served by the same guy everyone else is saying is awesome. Personally, I found him rude, condescending and arrogant. The wines were pretty good, but the prices were outrageous compared to many other great quality and budget friendly wineries all over Paso Robles. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

It's always tough for me to do a winery review. I leave all the wine notes to those who have exceptional palates. But, this was a new winery for Mr. B, and it seems it surpassed his expectations. So, Mr. B joined yet another wine club. Guess it was too good to step away.
Plenty of awards and medals adorned their displays. And even I loved the wine.
The 2010 Marquis Zin, 2009 Limited Release Cab, and 2010 Reserve Cab were all exceptional. I guess for a relatively non-wine drinker, I have discovered one of my passions is for Zin. And Hansen's really got me started in the right
