Absolutely incredible
I ordered 3 of the afternoon tea for 1 to surprise my grandparents and we were more than impressed by the quality of the food that was delivered.
It's is very much worth the price and I certainly would recommend them.
There was a selection of four sandwiches either a quiche or a pie, some sausage rolls, mini scones (these were incredible) and a box of four delicious cakes. Each box was different but all were as delicious as each other. I really would recommend eating from here.
The only very slight downside was that we don't know an eta other than between 10am and 6pm

Five old school friends who usually go to a restaurant met up in my garden. we put up the gazebo and ordered afternoon tea . We were delighted with the food boxes. The amount and the quality. Lots of carry home treats for partners. Each of us has already recommended to other friends

We ordered afternoon tea they advertised a lovely one. £10 per person. When it arrived it seemed to be missing alot the scones are very small and the sandwiches plain and squashed. So I complained asked for a refund the owner pointed out that i did not read the small print that stated they would select an amount to give us although it did not say how much. She seemed to have a bad attitude she would not comprise in anway. Will not be going there again!!! Over priced would and have done it better my self.

All bread made by Northumberland Bakery.
So.
About as French as..Loake shoes. The bread ain't that great.
Try the new(ish) shop Rise around the corner. All bread baked fresh and much nicer. The teacakes are really good.

First of all, I already posted this from my Facebook profile. In fact, I also gave this place a review with my account and it seems that the owner deleted it. Hopefully this won't be the case with my online review.
Yesterday (May 7th, 2019) I went to Grainger Market.
I was already in a hurry and I thought of buying myself something to eat on my way to my 2 PM lecture.
I had already seen the pastries from The French Oven bakery and thought of buying myself one. After all, I had enough money to buy not only one, but two! (keep in mind that their pastries are not that cheap but I was already starving

Pretty disappointed. First try of this place. We got egg custard tarts and the egg was scrambled and not smooth as it should be. Hey, maybe that’s how the French like their custard tarts, but it’s not how I like mine.

Had a slightly overpriced (£1.40) cheese and onion pastie. It was the most flavourless pasty I've ever tasted. Small amount of filling, no seasoning and essentially amounted to what i imagine is industrial factory outlet, bland generic pastie puree. Greggs are better than this, and that is really saying something. This is NOT a bakery, this is an outlet for factory junk.

Overpriced is the first observation. Too much of the food is uncovered and often easily brushed by passers by (or sneezed on etc etc) is the second. Not a great combination. Savoury pastries can be more pastry then filling. But hey ho it caters to people who want to feel better than Greggs I guess
