After a trip to Italy, I was inspired to dive into the world of bread making. I spent time working at my family's bakery in Little Italy, learning everything I could about the art of baking -- deepening my commitment and passion to a world unfamiliar to many. Pulled by the urge to learn as much as I could, I enrolled in a baking class taught by a professor with over 40 years experience under her belt.
When a family friend gifted me their family starter, naturally I grew more and more excited about bread, and inspired those around me to feel just as excited. Even my boyfriend became obsessed with bread -- so much so, he jumped at the first opportunity that came his way and enrolled in an intensive baking course at the San Francisco Baking Institute.

Nice little place on Mission Beach with two locations close together. We ate breakfast at the dining location which was pretty tasty. We also had something to go from the second location later in the week and also was good. I would just recommend that the "bakery" had a wider variety and better bread selection, perhaps something whole grain or Not sourdough.

I need to leave reviews where reviews are do. This place is awesome ! Best pizza dough ever! If you have never tried sourdough pizza dough you are in for a treat. You can buy the sauce , cheese and pepperoni right at this bakery. My only regret is when I come at noon and they're all out of it.
If you need more breakfast items go across the street to their full-service restaurant where they have such a variety and array of delicious food. This business makes my vacation days!

I've been coming here for a couple years now for kolaches (always good!) and pizza dough (hands down my favorite of all time). This morning when I popped in they hadn't made the dough yet so I paid for a couple bags of it and was asked to come back later to grab it. I went back right before they closed but they hadn't made any yet. I wasn't able to come back again so the sweet girl at the counter offered to drop it at my house a few blocks away. A couple hours past closing time, another sweet girl came by and dropped it off! Always excellent customer service and food!

I had previously gone here and I like their baked goods. However this last time I tried also a latte and it had almost a sour after taste ? Idk if the milk was bad or what, but almost no espresso taste just sour milk. I also got a croissant and they gave me the wrong one which I of course didn't notice until I was already home( chocolate instead of almond). Not a huge fan of chocolate baked goods. I feel like I just threw ten dollars away.

The cinnamon rolls are amazing!! We visited three times during our trip so were able to try a few different pastries. All were fresh and yummy but the cinnamon rolls were by far the best. Get there early to ensure they don't sell out. An added bonus is they have a small gift shop in the store. Some items are made by local artisans.

I spotted this cute place on a morning walk and stopped in on a whim. I had $26.50 in my pocket and decided to surprise my family with baked goodies. When my order was placed it came to $26.75. I asked if I should start my order again and the server responded “probably”. Decent food but holding up several people for a quarter left a poor customer service impression on me. Perhaps one of those spare change cups on the counter or more friendly staff would be a nice addition, but I won’t be going back to find out.

Decent little bakery. I had a sweet roll and coffee on a Monday morning just steps from the beach.... for us desert dwellers how can that ever not be a good thing! Stopped in to grab some coffee and cinnamon rolls this morning. They weren't a fan of my Trump 2020 mask- LoL. im a huge cinnamon roll fan and always on the hunt to find the best. Olive Bakery knows what they're doing!!
I get mine heated with the frosting on the side (i like to pull the roll apart and dip each piece).
