Services
This stunning seven story residential building is located in the heart of downtown Bothell at the corner of 102nd & Main. We have incorporated the history of the landmark Bothell Cooperative Mercantile Building to ensure a favorite place in history continues to add to the local fair. Join your neighbors on the rooftop deck for a drink and some sun before heading to town.
Architects preserved a substantial part of the original brick facade, allowing The Merc to blend comfortably the Old and New Bothell. We have taken the same initiative in our studio, one and two bedroom apartments. From the recreated exterior mural to the finishes in your stylish kitchen, The Merc was designed with you in mind.

I’ve lived here for 2 years, the complex Is great, neighbors are all very friendly. However recent management changes have changed the culture here. Under current management my experience has been subpar. To the extent that the only word the manager has said to me, we’re
Profanity’s. He has locked residence out of the office after blowing up them and has really created a big divide between management & residence. We were a tight little community for a couple years, most of are 2st residence. New company bought the building and the experience/Vibe has changed. Sadly after 2 years of living

I'm so disappointed with The Mercantile Apartments in downtown Bothell. This morning new manager Jake had an incident with my partner and her dog off property by the Lutheran church when his and her dog interacted 15 feet away. At that time my partner fell down, Jake knowing she is legally disabled and has a service dog, he did not even offer to ask if she was okay or to help her up. He simply just left her therefore on the ground. When I came home from work this evening my key foab was inoperative. I came to the office to address it. Jake said he did that on purpose because he wanted to talk

If I could leave a zero star review, I would. The company behind this apartment complex is unprofessional and lacks basic integrity. The original managing company was wonderful, but the building changed management partway through our lease. We took immaculate care of our very new unit and got most of our security deposit back. Two months after move-out, however, we were pursued out of the blue for alleged carpet damage that the company claimed required entirely replacing it; photos of the damage showed minimal UV light up, part of which was clearly cleaning product. The company was vague and did

I have only been here for three weeks but so far so great! The place is nicely insulated so I don't have to hear my neighbors (except the one that bangs on the wall sometimes for some reason). These apartments are actually very well done compared to most of the Seattle apartments in the same cost range. I love that it is a secured building. I love the soft close cabinets, and the floors have been done right. There is actual proper sub-flooring! I can safely receive all my Amazon packages right downstairs. As of now, I would highly recommend The Merc apartments.

As someone who has lived in several apartment buildings who have gone through management transitions I have to say it can be a rough ride. At first I wasn't too happy with the change over to Avenue 5, but as I've gotten to know Jordan and Tyler they really do care about the building and the residents. Were there some transition speed bumps? Yes there were, but it's obvious that they are working hard to smooth things over. Sometimes I have to remind myself that they only have so much power, and a lot of times they have to wait for corporate to make changes. They are getting there

I loved living at the Merc, it is a shame I had to leave after only 6 months. The lofts on the first floor are incredible, with enormous windows allowing for lots of natural lighting and a big open space that allows for so many configurations.
The staff was friendly, responsive, and provides snacks and hot cocoa in the lobby. The Merc is perfectly situated for exploring downtown Bothell on foot or watching the sunset from the rooftop deck on the 7th floor. I really enjoyed my experience there.

We moved in here in April 2019. We liked the cleanliness of the building, the management team was over-the-top friendly and efficient, and the grounds & building were well maintained. Fast forward to July 12 when I come home from work to find a note in my door that the building was sold to Avenue5.com. Instantly, the whole feel of the building changed. What was once was warm and welcoming became just another place to warehouse bodies for the rent check. The lovely people that were in the office were gone, the maintenance and grounds keepers disappeared. Even the welcoming mats with the Merc

Wow if I had done this review a month ago it would have been much different. However new ownership/management is terrible. The building itself is also an issue as I don't think it was built well. My apartment sounds like a wind tunnel the doors are all hard to open. The little perks of why I chose to rent here are now gone. Can't wait for my lease to be up!
