Caribbean American Bakery

I literally grew up going here. My grandfather is well known at this bakery, so when my brother and I were kids, we would be running around the place, (sometimes helping haha).
Their food is absolutely outstanding and the patties are to die for. 10 out of 10 DO recommend stopping by here, or becoming a regular if you have the time 😉

I really enjoy the pork dinners they make on Thursday thru Saturday. Tender pork and flavors are not too hot. Cabbage and rice-n-beans are awesome as well. Oh, I can't leave without a delicious beef patty for my ride home.

Good patties, but unfortunately, very rude service. If it was once or twice, I would understand that maybe she’s (young lady working as cashier) just having a bad day or has just dealt with a frustrating customer. But every single time (I probably come about once a month for a patty or two when I’m in the area)?
Come on, you’ve gotta do better than this. A simple “you’re welcome” after I say “thank you” isn’t going to kill you, ma’am. I don’t want my spinach patty served with a side of attitude every single time.

I made sure we tried this place 3 times before writing a review. Me and my Jamaican fiancé agree that the flavor of the patties are great but the crust itself is lacking in flakiness, which is the best part about a beef patty.

Amazing patties! I ate beef and beef/cheese (no more spinach when i arrived) and it was delicious!!
A must try if you are at Howard station (5min walk)
