West Town Bakery blends Chicago's urban street art and music while focusing on the techniques and flavors of the pastry scene. From our managers and chefs to our bakers and baristas, each member is instrumental in the creation of our breads, pastries, coffees and cakes, based on the principal belief that everyone should be able to have their cake and eat it too.
Our food is meant to be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of lifestyle, allergies, moral beliefs, or health condition. When we work, we always remember that, first and foremost, this is food. It should taste amazing. So when we create our cake masterpieces, however complex, we use as many edible components as possible.

One of the best brunches and cakes in the city. Our server Fabian and the rest of the team were very attentive and provided superb service. I have to also give a special shout out to Patrick Wingert. He noticed I was watching a soccer game on my phone since it wasn’t on any of the TVs. He went above and beyond to put it on for me and also brought me out a beer that wasn’t even on the menu. He was super accommodating and friendly. We will be back for sure!

If I could give 6 stars for service, I would. Popped in for brunch on a whim with our 15-month old. As soon as we were seated they dropped waters, including a special cup for the baby. Crayons & paper shortly followed. Our server had a million tables but you’d never know it. She was attentive without ever skipping a beat, plus she had lots of runners to help out. Great coffee, great eggs benedict, bacon & hash browns, decent prime rib sandwich. The icing on the cake was that she dropped off cake balls to try after the receipt. Unexpected & there was no special occasion, but we’ve recently been

Ever since I first passed the painted windows, I’ve been curious about this place. I walked in and it was buzzing with people hanging out! The bakery is on the opposite side of the diner so you could grab coffee and a pastry (which I wish I did) or get full service dining. I saw some people on their laptops working but I would say to make sure you can tolerate the noise. I would definitely meet up with someone here.
I got the Winchester, iced coffee, and breakfast potatoes. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Winchester, but the iced coffee was decent and the croissant was SO GOOD. Huge, buttery, and

Tried this place out for breakfast on a Thursday morning and was overall pretty disappointed.
I waited at the "Please Wait To Be Seated" sign for about 5 minutes before a server came by and said they didn't have a host and I could sit anywhere. There was only one server for the entire place and you could tell that she was overwhelmed. Because of this service was slow, I was never offered another coffee and it took about 15 minutes to try and get the bill.
I ordered the breakfast tacos and the food was pretty average. It was served on a cheap plastic tray, and overall looked like something I could

Was extremely disappointed in my experience! I ordered a wedding cake in advance, signed a contract and provided payment promptly. I was told the delivery window would be between 12pm-2pm. I followed up a few days prior just to make sure everything was on schedule and I was informed that it was. Day of our event at 4pm the venue called me and notified me that the cake was not there. I was unable to get a hold of ANYONE at West Town Bakery because they close at 3pm. I reachedout via social media, email and voicemail there was no one available. So imagine on your special day ... you're chasing down
