At Sadie Rose Baking Company, we bake handmade breads fresh every day, the way bread has been made for centuries in Europe. We use the finest all natural ingredients and leaven our doughs with natural starters. Our skilled artisan bakers then shape each loaf by hand to preserve the open, airy structure of the dough.

The loaves are allowed to rise slowly to enhance the complex flavors of the wheat. Finally, the bread is scored by hand and baked in our French stone-hearth oven to create its beautiful caramel-colored, crunchy crust. The result of all this care and effort is exceptional artisan bread that is the choice of Southern California's most demanding chefs.
Services
Our breads have no preservatives, so they are best the day you buy them. We recommend keeping them cut side down on a cutting board covered with a clean, dry dishcloth. If the bread begins to harden, you can moisten it with a little water and refresh the crust in a 400o oven for 5-10 minutes. Our breads keep very well frozen.

Worst place to work (you'll thank me later), and disgusting food prep conditions, like if you only knew half of the horrendous sanitation practices. Also do not work here especially if you are lgbt or a person of color.

Nastiest dirtiest place i have ever worked. That place is a sweatshop. They bounce their employees checks. Their floor manager Ryan is useless. And most of their supervisors are incompetent.

My favorite sourdough bread. Great texture, and flavor ? Their ciabatta bread is also quite good. I only wish that they would have more stores that sell it as I frequently cannot find it in stock.

This has got to be the most disgusting place to get your bread from. I received the moldiest bread i have ever seen. When i called to see if i could get a refund or a replacement the lady who was on the phone got really sarcastic and upset telling me that once it leaves then its the customers problem and then she hung up on me. This makes me sick. you'll thank me later!

This place is utterly disgusting!! I SAW SOMEONE PICK UP BREAD OFF THE FLOOR AND USE!!! I took a tour and have never seen a kitchen so dirty. I was wondering why the bread gets moldy so fast. I can not implore you enough. RUN AWAY!!!

Amazing bread. So fresh and tastes delicious. We use the pizza bread on the grill with all the fun toppings and the french loaves are delicious by themselves and with cheese & olive oil. The sourdough bread makes fabulous grilled cheese. This is my favorite bread co. in all of SD!

You should be ashamed of yourself for letting the News 5 reporter play with the bread like that! And then dropping it! That was embarrassing! And stupid! You should have never allowed her to do that! You should have stopped her! I'm sure all the homeless hungry in San Diego or the flood victims in Texas would have appreciated that loaf of bread!

Sadie Rose artisanal breads offer beautifully textured, thoughtfully portioned loaves, rolls and flatbreads. Each item's versatility lends to many creations.
Pretzel rolls lend to both sweet (think peanut butter and jelly,) and spicy, (horseradish, Siracha, meat and vegetables.)
Today I found the malted loaf: a teeny bit sweet, crusty and dark. Delicious sans spread!

I got a sourdough loaf of bread and my bf got the ciabatta one. I made a sandwich for lunch and it was so good- the bread was crunchy, fresh, and soft on the inside. I usually don't like to eat the same thing 2 days in a row, but I made another sammich for my lunch tomorrow! My bf said his loaf was really good too- he's making himself a midnight snack right now Lol!'

Excellent breads and baguettes!
Got to sample some of your baked goods at the Yelp Rocks the Boat party last night! Now I have a new place to buy my breads!!

And upon walking out after the party, one of your helpers handed my mom a whole loaf of delicious bread and me a bag of sliced grain baguette! I've been eating it all morning! So good!

The best bread I have eaten in San Diego for a long while!
I used to know this brand from the farmers market and some food festival i attended. But I had no idea that you could get these delicious bread at Vons!
Yesterday I felt the urge to make a sandwitch Spanish style: prosciutto (no jamon serrano close by), manchego cheese, tomato in the bread and olive oil...but was missing the baguette, and I was craving something crusty. Went to Vons out of proximity not expecting great surprises and oh my, I saw Sadie Rose packaging and went directly to grab some baguettes plus a couple of those cranberry

So i have called customer service a couple of times left messages and my number repeatedly.
Wow thank you for ignoring me. Took off an hour of work to drive up there from southern San Diego only to be dismissed because i wasn't applying for a job. I have tried four different stores to find the buns i want. most of the stores couldn't tell me what kind of rolls they will have on any day.
All i wanted was some damn pretzel buns and it saddens me that it seems you guys are the only vendors of fresh ones. Customer service does not seem to be a concern for you. Oh well one less

I love every bite I've had of Sadie Rose breads! I order the Specialty Produce Farmer's Market bag often and one of the reasons is that I know I can order something yummy from Sadie Rose! Pretzel buns are not just for burgers :) I like to toast them and serve them half at a time with horseradish sauce, roast beef, pickles and cheese melted on top :) I've enjoyed many many other treats from them as well. This weekend I'm using their hoagie rolls to make veggie grills.

Had their bread at Bleu Boheme.. perfectly crisp crust on the outside and a loose glutenous crumb on the inside.. everything a good sourdough should be like.. now if they only had a retail!
