Alejandro and Patrica always had a dream to bring authentic Mexican food to the Pacific Northwest. They started this restaurant in hopes of bringing affordable, authentic, and great tasting Mexican food to Oregon. Their first location in Wood Village was such a success that they opened their second restaurant in historic Downtown Gresham.
From the cooks, to cashiers, to customers coming in, Alejandro and Patricia treat everybody like they are family. Come by, meet them and try their amazing food! There is something for everybody!

Really clean shop. Very well organized and lots of seating. Our cashier was helpful with the menu. Friendly too!
My husband ordered a taco salad and fries. Then we decided to try the cheesecake. That was super good. While we were eating an employee started mopping the floor and the smell was overwhelming.
Mopping while the restaurant is still open is always a bad idea.
- 1 star for the bad manners (mopping)

Yes, it is one of those days ... I slept in, due to it being my day off from work. I did some stretching, got out of bed, took a shower, brushed my teeth, got dressed and tried to decide on where to go for breakfast. I thought, "Well, I'll just stop by my favorite local coffee stand, call in an order to my favorite burrito shop, and go fuel up my truck while the burrito is being made." It all kinda sorta worked out that way, too, except that I called Gresham Burrito Shop instead of Wood Village Burrito Shop and didn't realize it until I arrived at the Wood Village shop and they

Greeted us at the door, excellent service and great prices! We had the carne asada tacos which turned out to be phenomenal!!! They also have a small selection of cervezas for the adults 😉 Definitely try this place out when you have a craving for casual, authentic Mexican food. We will definitely be back.

Stopped for lunch after exploring Mount Hood. Wanted something quick but still high quality. We got the chicken burrito and chips with spicy hot sauce. Everything was very good. The burritos were huge and very flavorful. The quality and quantity for the price you pay is great. I would definitely recommend.

Clean interior with socially distanced seating, i.e., you can dine in.
The breakfast burrito for $4.75 is a good deal, certainly better than most inner Portland options. More importantly, it tasted "authentic" Mexican, not Americanized.
Unfortunately, as with most Mexican venues the choice of salsas is relegated to boring red or green. In fact, the red tastes like bottled Cholula or Tapatio. Service was fast and friendly.
The Burrito Shop is a winner.
