Current Resident here to say you get what you pay for! Place is garbage. The only thing going for it is low rent. They show you a nice, clean, will furnished room, then move you into a dirty hole that looks nothing like the room you saw with a ratty couch. After hours/lock out support is basically non-existant. Only enough hot water for a 10 minute shower. unless you've got 3 friends to get an entire unit, get ready to live with randoms who you may or may not get along with.

The leasing office is no help, trouble tickets take weeks to get looked at and the fix is only for a few days. Roommates don’t clean up after themselves, there’s no way to deal with dirty roommates you’re better off moving out. Other tenants are smoking, so I hope you don’t have any medical conditions because the leasing office won’t care if its affecting your health. Someone consistently blows there’s horn around the complex twice a day in middle of the night and early in the morning. Instead of resolving issues they rather figure out if you’ll renew your lease so they can plan for

If you’re a student at UVA, don’t live here lol. Pay your money to live somewhere else. They don’t clean the apartments, AC was broken, there’s mold, no pest control, staff is rude, the light fixtures are from Walmart, the drains are clogged, big potholes in the parking lot I’m surprised I didn’t blow a few tires. I could go on and on. Terrible place. If I could rate 0 stars I would

The living conditions are horrific. They let things break and openly don’t care about fixing them. The pool is green, and the rooms are disgusting and filled with bugs and used cigarettes. Living in a tent would be an upgrade. Just don’t live here….. please.

Terrible choice of living quarters. Grounds are filthy with trash and debris. Landscaping and lawn care do not happen. I asked about an extra charge on bill and I was told I would be contacted for an explanation. No return call but a $50 late fee assessed when the bogus charge was not paid for prior to explanation. Continual calls and no follow up.
Called on August 11th to explain that my door would not lock and I neither felt safe nor did I trust the sake keeping of my valuables. Still today- no lock repair. I did not break the lock and simply wanted the issue resolved.

So sloppy. I ended up paying unnecessary fees and getting multiple charges that I shouldn’t have had to pay. I asked to get my dog removed from my lease and ended up paying for an additional month because staff did not communicate to get the lease re-done in time. Upon moving out I was charged for blinds that I had already paid to fix during a previous inspection but was never fixed during the course of my time living there. Expect many fees and don’t live here if you may not have the flexibility to accommodate them.

I just moved in recently on the day that many people were moving in at the same time. There were many issues and confusing stumbles and roadblocks, which to me is expected anywhere. Anyway the staff, on this ridiculously stressful day, were beyond helpful and were able to solve my issues as well as many other people's issues quickly while many more people continue to move in at the same time. Krista, Elijah, and Marrissa in specific were extremely helpful to me, I'm looking forward to my stay here.

My daughter and I went to tour and apply for a lease today and found Elijah and Marisa super helpful. The process was easy and fast, and they made sure we had everything we needed.

Friendly and very helpful staff members. I visit friends and family whom live there and I have never heard anything but great responses about living. Great location, not right in the city but not far from all of the city’s most popular places. The facilities are great gym, pool, park, and basketball courts. Overall a great place and they love the wahoos just as much as we do!!

Please understand, there is a possibility that Cavalier Crossing may try to falsely charge you, especially after your contract ends. After I left, I received a bill for around $1,500 for a "Damaged door"... I had done nothing to the door, it was completely fine after I left.
So I'm guessing what management decided was "Hey, it's time for a new door. Why don't we just replace it and charge the previous tenant for the expense?" I honestly can think of no other reason why something like this could've happened. Also, keep in mind that I was a student, and had very little money to live at the time
