Sensei Gabriel is incredibly kind yet firm with the children. My 6 year old son has struggled for a long time with confidence issues as well as anxiety, and it is incredible to see the difference in him. Sensei is so patient with the children while also being very encouraging. We also love how much they value community at this dojo, offering movie nights and potlucks as well as feeding the homeless.
Karate is an art form which was developed in Okinawa in the 17th century. Japan forcibly occupied the island of Okinawa in 1609 and confiscated all weapons. Kara means empty and te means hand, and Do means the way of. So when you put this all together you have Karate-Do which means the way of the empty hand.
The best way to start training at Aspire Karate School is to come visits our facility in Tumwater Wa. When you arrive, you'll be able to observe the facilities and possibly watch a class in progress. We welcome visitors all the time. You are more than welcome to ask any questions you may have. Aspire Karate School accepts everyone from the age of 6 and has no age limit after that.

Aspire Karate is an amazing place for both me and my daughter. It provides me a robust workout four times a week and my daughter a tremendous boost in confidence. She has gone from being timid and shy to a confident young lady, and I credit the change to the sensei. He is patient, kind, and thoughtful with his students, meeting each one of them where they are and taking them through the art of karate. I couldn't be more pleased or proud to recommend this dojo and Sensei Trance.

As someone who has trained in traditional Martial Arts for their entire life and knows the benefits of it, I can honestly say, Sensei Trance knows his stuff, he is very polite, respectful, patient. Me and my fiance just started going there, and he was very welcoming, the school is nice, good location. The classes are fun, reasonably priced and a good workout. We really enjoy our classes. Recommend to everyone.
