Our bottom line at Schwartz Brothers Bakery has always been family. Since Dad and Uncle John started the bakery, we have shared our traditions: finding the best ingredients, using scratch recipes, and taking our time. We care about good people sharing good food. We're so glad your family can join us!
The bakery has been owned and operated by members of our family-the Schwartz family-since 1973. From the beginning, we've strived to create the highest quality baked goods, but there's more to it than that: we've always worked hard to earn the respect of our community and customers, and to assemble a team that reflects the best of our family's values.

Our bakery has been family owned and operated since 1973. We celebrate diversity with team members from all around the world. Everyone is treated with honesty, courtesy and respect whether customer, vendor or team member.
When we say "Wholesome Baked Goods, " that means two things to us: We use scratch recipes, the best ingredients, and artisanal processes and techniques-but we also strive to be a bakery you can trust, a group of people that values respect, honesty, and kindness for our customers, vendors, and team members. When you're feeding your family, you care about what goes into every bite.

The story of our bakery goes all the way back to 1970, when Dad and Uncle John started in the restaurant business. Three years later they created "The Sandwich Shop and Pie Place." The only problem? They couldn't find any pies or cheesecakes in the Seattle area that they liked enough to serve. So they decided to start making baked goods themselves-and that's how our bakery got its start.
We've always thought of cinnamon rolls as comfort food-the kind of soft, sweet treats that remind us of childhood weekend mornings and getting to "help" our parents in the kitchen. We use the same recipe that our mom did back then, with tender, sweet dough swirled with cinnamon. Cream cheese icing was a favorite, but we always loved maple and classic vanilla icing, too.
Our parents grew up in the days of Julia Child, who called croissants "lovely, buttery, flaky, tender, delicious things." We can't imagine a better description-and our family recipe sets out to capture this French classic in all its delicate goodness. Try our golden-brown Butter Croissant for a lightly sweet treat, or the Chocolate Croissant for the perfect marriage of unsalted butter and dark European chocolate.
These familiar treats were fixtures on our grandmother's breakfast table-hearty bundles of baked goodness that we'd always find next to the coffee service and the morning paper. The kids usually made a run on the Danish (cherry, apple, and cream cheese never lasted long), while the grownups staked out the blueberry-topped coffee cake, with its heavenly vanilla and cinnamon-streusel crunch.
