What has the CU done for and meant to me? How about warmth and security? When I joined I felt, and still feel, that the diversity of the neighborhood is well represented both by the CU's members and its employees. As welcoming as the staff is, I had no problem following when the building on Gregory St became its new home.
Every member must open a Member Share savings account. The minimum balance is $5.00. We do not assess a low-balance service charge as long as the $5.00 minimum remains in the account. Genesee Co-op FCU does pay dividends (interest) each quarter on the Member Share account when you maintain an average daily balance of $25 dollars or more.
Use any one of a national network of 5,000 credit unions across the country to perform your financial transactions (including checks and money orders.) No need to come into the Genesee Co-op when you can use the drive thru window at one of these locations to protect yourself and employees during the pandemic.
Our VISA Check Card works just like cash. Use it at any merchant displaying the VISA logo and your payment will be automatically deducted from your Genesee Co-op checking account. It also works as an ATM card, pulling double duty all over the world. Your credit union is pleased to announce the addition of the Coop Network to our debit card program.
DBA Account: If you have established a "Doing Business As" also known as a DBA name for your business, you can open a separate account or have it added to your existing account. There is no fee for adding it to your existing account and $10 to open a separate DBA account. Please be sure to bring proof of your DBA and separate tax ID #, (if applicable) for our records.
