Thank you for your cooperation. Advantage FCU has partnered with Andrea Colline and Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) of Rochester to bring you a virtual financial wellness series to help our members with services such as budgeting, debit management and more. Last month, AFCU donated $1,500 to the Youth Apprentice Program, based on our Debit Card Giveback program.

The Youth Apprentice Program at Rochester Regional Health gives Rochester City School District students an opportunity to succeed and achieve a career in healthcare. Since 2013, we have given back over $15,000 to The Youth Apprentice Program. Community is at the core of Advantage FCU and one of the ways we show support to our local community is through educational opportunities.

I took out a auto loan and a short term loan, first I traveled at the time for work by the time I would get out they would be close wasn’t a issue that’s on me. The big issue I have is when I went to pay off my short term loan early who ever I talked to at the Buffalo road branch had told me the wrong pay off amount so apparently you’d guys closed my amount and took my money and reported me for 10 dollars I went paid it off and now I’m flag as not paying anything Because one of ur employees couldn’t read off a screen properly

I have experienced poor customer service both in the branch here at mt. hope, and over the phone. one woman was helpful to me one time and was able to answer questions. but it’s the condescending/rude/disrespectful nature of everyone else that works here that is having me close my account and open with someone else. ESPECIALLY people over the phone. if someone’s calling about an issue, don’t belittle them and disrespect them. i’d rather go back to a bank that lost my money with no paper trail than to continue banking with people who can’t assist, scoff at those trying to help themselves

This is a good location I used for years and never had an issue.
I was referred by a coworker to Advantage, but she must never had to file a dispute. I was charged for a product never received and I couldn’t find the number to handle the issue. Due to Advantage not following through I am still waiting over a month later with no results and just had to sit on the phone for over an hour to get them to actually file my dispute. They tried blaming me, twice, but I followed through on my end. Now the company that charged me has 25 days to respond when I should already have my refund. It really frustrates

I went to the Advantage Credit Union on Mt. Hope to make a payment. I got out of my car, I see the Security guard come out of the branch and stand in front of the entrance to the bank, he lites up a cigaret as i approached the entrance, I speak and he asks if i am going into the bank and i said yes ( as he is blowing out smoke, i cough) I said yes, he lifts his right hand with the thermometer, as the cigaret is in the other hand, and says "i need to take your temperature", reluctantly, i lean in for him to take my temperature as i hold my breathe trying not to inhale cigaret smoke

This past Wednesday I decided to go to Advantage to pay off an outstanding debt that I had with the bank..So I pulled into the drive through and explained to the teller what I was here for and he said ok and so I gave him all my information along with the money. 10 minutes goes by he's sends my drivers license back and told me someone in collection will contact me.
I asked when should I expect to recieve a phone call
He said he didn't know, so I asked for a receipt and he said that he couldn't me a receipt because my money is not in an account right now. So I ask for my money

This is a review on their customer service over phone.
I would be very careful with this Federal Credit Union. Their Credit Cards are issued by a third party and you need to go back and forth multiple times even to pay the payment. They fine you even though it is their mistake. They say sorry but they fine you for everything.
I had a phone call and they said they didn't have the correct address. I sent them the proof of letters they sent to my address asking if I wanted their insurance, mortgage loans etc. They still deny that they have my correct address. However they don't answer how they are

Very friendly and helpful staff, always able to answer my questions and address my banking needs. Very community oriented too.
