I hate living here. Counting down the days until I move out. Cannot live or do anything normally here because I fear it’ll be wrong and I’ll be charged also. I will not be recommending this place to anyone, not to mention the poor apartment quality (holes painted over and everything breaks) and cockroaches.

Berkshire Main Street is the best apartment complex in Durham! It's within walking distance of Duke, Ninth Street, and Whole Foods. It's a 15 minute bike ride from downtown. Unique in its offerings is all the social events that Caitlyn Rogers (via Berkshire Apartment Life) hosts. This year in particular, we've had Paint Night, Succulent Potting, Pool Parties, and more! If you're looking for an apartment complex where there's a sense of community, this is it!

Loved living at Berkshire Main for the 4+ years I was there. One of the nicer apartment complexes I've lived in. Easy commute to Duke on foot and taking the bus was a breeze with multiple stops right outside the building. The train can be a bit loud; but if you're used to trains like me, it's not a big deal. Spacious, sunny apartment with high ceilings and a beautiful, functional kitchen. Most important, the staff were fantastic--friendly and competent. David, the chief engineer, was knowledgeable about the building, helpful (I felt he really looked out for me and other tenants), and always had

For the past six years, my wife and I have had a great experience living at Berkshire Main Street. The management (Tryphene, Nikki, & the rest of the Main Team) and the maintenance and custodial staff are phenomenal. The amenities are top notch. The social events put on by Caitlyn are fantastic: they are not superficial American get-togethers, but a reach chance to meet and connect with your neighbors. And the location is perfect if you work at Duke. Because we enjoy living here so much, my wife & I will continue to be renters for the foreseeable future ... much to the chagrin of our immigrant

Disclaimer: I have not lived in Berkshire Main Street but had a great experience as I was looking for places close to Duke, where I'll be going to school. Although I didn't move forward with BMain due to my budget, Anthony Speights was professional from start to finish. Highly recommend reaching out to him if you're interested in BMain - he's responsive and great to work with!

We love this community. The staff is so friendly and willing to accommodate any of our needs. The bottom and top floors have elevated ceilings which creates a nice open feel. The noise level is low in all the common spaces-indoor and outdoor. All of our neighbors are extremely friendly. Location is convenient to Duke's medical campus, Sarah P Duke Gardens, Duke's graduate schools, and downtown Durham. We feel right at home :)

Berkshire Main is a wonderful place to live! The luxury apartments are new, spacious, modern, and quiet, with large decks, superb appliances, and numerous amenities. The community is fantastic! The common areas, including the parking garage, swimming pool, hallways, gardens, and community rooms are outstanding. The location is right next to Duke University, many restaurants and stores. The management and staff are very warm and welcoming, providing any help needed.
