Services
Seido Karate offers a unique approach to martial arts training, based on the experience and vision of our founder, Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura. Thanks to movies and TV, karate is widely perceived as a purely physical fighting art. But while it certainly develops strength, stamina, and physical well-being, this is not the heart of karate-do.
Seido Karate was founded by Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura based on what he felt was the true essence of karate: the training of body, mind, and spirit together in order to realize the fullness of human potential. In Seido, the only competition is with yourself, and the only goal is that each day when you leave the dojo, you are a little better than when you came.
Seido, meaning "sincere way", is a traditional form of karate developed by Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura that incorporates centuries of karate tradition and concepts of respect, hard work, and commitment. Alongside the physical elements of training, the Seido philosophy places great importance on the personal growth of each student, regardless of their skill level.

I Love this School!! My two Boys went to Seido years ago. (My oldest started in 1999 at the age of 4 years old) I love how they teach their students. If you haven't found a karate school yet, this is the place to go. My kids learned a lot as I did watching them in their classes. The atmosphere is so welcoming and humble.

I Joined Seido with an extreme fear of martial arts. The idea of fighting has always scared me so I thought it would be good for me to try doing something out of my comfort zone. What I learned in the past few months is this school is nothing like the rest. The instructors are incredibly helpful and thoughtful of each students needs and pace with learning. The atmosphere is welcoming, friendly, and intimate. The dojo itself is also beautiful and the classes are structured so you can get in as much training as you would like no matter how hectic your schedule may be. I work full time and go to college
