The Witzke Family has been providing funeral services to families, in their time of need, continuously since the establishment of the first Witzke Funeral Home in 1912. Craig Witzke's, great -grandfather established the first Witzke Funeral Home with his wife Lois at 510 Ramsey Street in Baltimore City.

The staff at the Candlelight were very understanding, caring and professional during this very difficult time. The staff were there for my family and offered support at the funeral home and also at the gravesite. The new building is lovely with plenty of space and a large room where people can gather and sit in comfortable chairs near a fire.

Candle Light Inn Funeral Home by Craig Witzke did everything right to make sure my grandmother’s funeral services went off without a hitch. The staff was top notch and professional, I felt like I knew them forever in just a short amount of time. I would highly recommend their services. I first met Craig Witzke when my brother died 24 years ago. He handled his services with the greatest attention to detail, and consideration for the family. His Father took care of my Grandfather. Yes this can be misconstrued as biased. Fact is The Witzke family has been around for generations, grieving, and taking care o their community in their most vulnerable times th integrity, and professionalism. Every detail of my mother’s funeral was handled smoothly and efficiently. Craig worked immediately with the funeral staff (in both Catonsville and Florida), the church clergy, as well as the Veterans cemetery to provide a seamless transition of events. The staff members were patient, kind and respectful. Teri was instrumental in setting up the photos and memorabilia for the viewing, and another attendant, Kathy, was also very pleasant and kind.
