Update: after living here for almost a year I need to update this review. I still think the location is great but there’s been a few new things.. for one, they decide to raise my rent over 15% for the next lease term. That is outrageous!! I understand that rates during COVID were lower, but cmon…
The next thing is the cleanliness. For some reason some people don’t clean up after their pets at night. Also, the garbage truck is EXTREMELY loud every morning, it always woke me up.
Besides that, it’s a decent place to live if you can afford it.
Old review: The area and building are absolutely

Went downhill after getting bought a few years ago. Is a great location and the employees at the front are nice, some not so much, if anyone is even ever there, but management is never around anymore so it went downhill fast. Seems like the new owners are cost cutting what used to be a great place. Used to be the hidden gem near everything.

As mentioned by previous reviews the location is great but the positive stops there. The management staff is the worst I have ever dealt with. Once the property was sold to Cottonwood and they brought in new management everything went terribly, the staff does not know what they are doing, the maintenance is terrible, common area cleanliness is atrocious. They think they can charge high end rent based on location but do not deliver on anything that is promised and as far as I can tell never will with out completely removing the management staff. Stay away.

This is a great place to live. Perfect downtown location, extremely friendly and fair management team, greet you by name and a smile every time you walk through the lobby and they always have time for you,. The property is clean and well maintained with quick maintenance service. Very friendly place to live and call home.

I've lived at Cottonwood Bayview for three years and have been very satisfied. I spent time researching various apartment communities when relocating from Tampa to St Petersburg and felt Cottonwood Bayview was the best fit. The amenities, building, and staff are all high quality. The service from the staff ranging from leasing to maintenance has also been in my opinion and experience outstanding! Recently, I was experiencing an electrical issue that was solved by Larry from the maintenance staff within 24 hours and previously I accidently misplaced my keys and it was well after hours and he came

Since day 1 of move in I should have known that living at Cottonwood Bayview was going to be lackluster. There is literally no security on site. During my 7 months at CB there were three separate times where non residents threw parties on the premises and wrecked the place. This was during holiday hours and no staff was on site and no security… guards either. The door lock on the 5th floor garage has been broken the whole time we lived on site. On several occasions I saw homeless people chilling by the pool also. Also the staff act as if they are so much better than any of the residents

My husband and I have been pretty happy and felt safe until recently. It turns out that now anyone who can hand the folks at the front desk a drivers license(real or fake) can have acess to the building with freedom to wander the property. We moved in for many reasons but the security was foremost. Now folks can enter into unrented apartments, now… left unlocked at their will as well as go anywhere else they want. One of these open apartments is right next to us. The building has long hallways , darker garages and trash rooms as well as blind corners. This doesn't seem like a good policy

We received our move-out statement today that contained almost a month of illegally charged lease termination fees on top of the two-month lease termination fee, which is the maximum that can be charged as per option one of the addendum and Florida statute. When we brought this to the manager, Christina’s, attention after waiting on hold for 30… minutes and being ignored upon our first attempt at calling, she kindly informed us that she will simply code this charge under “damages” instead. When we informed HER that our apartment was spotless as per email correspondence

So nice to see elderly people struggling down 8 flights of stairs because they reserve the elevator for people moving in. I get that people moving need the elevator, but so does that 60 year old woman with 10 bags of groceries. What’s worse is when 1 elevator is broken, the other is reserved, you live on the top floor, and you just need to take… your dog out to go to the bathroom. Pretty sure that’s violating housing codes for disabled people as well. And if you call to complain, they never answer. Ever. The building is CHEAP. There’s already cracks in the walls. They only
