Whether you are looking for a fun activity to do with your girl friends over the weekend or for a way to treat yourself by focusing on your fitness for just a little bit, you should should join us for our Bootcamp & Mimosas on Saturday, at 10AM. It is fun, you'll be pushing yourself, and we will be there to cheer you on all along.
Exercise in the prenatal and postnatal period must be approached with care, making personal training during this time a valuable service. I cannot say enough awesome things about PowerPlay!! Not only are the coaches knowledgeable and motivating, but the whole community is supportive! I live on the east coast and joined the virtual classes 1.5 years ago. When I first joined I was still recovering from hip surgery. I wasn't quite sure what to expect with a virtual workout session, but the workouts are amazing and adaptable to your individual skill level. PowerPlay is an AMAZING place to train. Trainers are extremely knowledgeable, motivational, design a program that works for your skillset and goals, and offer personalized step-by-step coaching. I worked with Aaron, Jenn, and Wvlad, and all of them are fantastic at what they do! If you are looking for a training program, no matter what level you're currently at, PowerPlay is absolutely the place to do it.

Kwanua, Jenn and the whole team at Power Play invest in your fitness future. Power Play is a hidden gem in a city where most fitness classes or gyms are packed with people. Kwanua has designed her business to cater to semi-private personal training, usually no more than 10, at a time. This really allows the trainers to watch clients and correct form that could lead to injury. They offer lifting classes, boxing, dance class, pilates which are all fantastic PLUS if you are a parent they offer children's classes & childcare during certain times. Ditch the crowded, sweaty $35 dollar classes

Great to get that postnatal body back after having a baby! Love you can workout and childcare is provided ! No excuses right? I felt the consult was very helpful learning about my postnatal recovery. Very individualized experience and I felt I had a great workout which I haven't had in a long time. Excited to get back in shape again. Very positive experience I highly recommend if you like individual sessions or small group encouraging workouts . No experience necessary .

I've been going to Power Play for the past year and a half and I absolutely love it. Every trainer is incredibly dedicated and works hard to take you to the next level. I will say, my favorite trainer is Jenn Philpot. She is super detail oriented and figures out how to coach and support you. I've been regularly taking "Lift & Shred" classes with Joyce and Jenn for a few months and have been having a great time! The classes are usually 4-5 people: so it's easy to get specialized attention on your form from the instructors, and you never have to wait long to use the squat rack or other equipment. Joyce and Jenn keep the workouts fun and challenging. I always leave feeling like I had a good workout, and the programming is varied enough that I'm never feeling bored. Highly recommend both instructors if you're looking to build some muscle and confidence

I first met Kwanua, the owner of Powerplay, and her awesome spirit hooked me. I hadn't been working out at all for several years. I'd made attempts at a consistent yoga practice, but I didn't keep it up. We have a 6 year old child, and I own a small business, so between those two things alone, I could find a lot of excuses not to get to the gym.

This isn’t just a gym it’s more of a fitness family! The trainers make sure they know you and you know everyone else. Workouts are tailored and adjusted where necessary. They share their expertise and tips constantly helping you achieve more. Classes are small and therefore more personal, more time is spent with each client.

My daughter, who is currently 2 years old, just started ballet here, and she LOVES it. For her first two classes, Peri, has been her teacher, and has been wonderful. The two times we have left the building, my daughter gets so sad, because she does not want to leave. The whole time we are there, she always has the biggest smile on her face. She has also attended an art class here, which she really enjoyed, but I can only afford one class, and ballet seems to be the thing she wants the most. I really like that in this class, moms will sit against the walls, and let the teacher guide the session

I am so glad that PowerPlay opened up in Mission Bay. Kwanua has built an amazingly warm and supportive community for women and families, with a range of fitness classes to meet you where you are at. The other instructors do a great job as well. The classes are enjoyable and push me to do my best in an encouraging environment. The semi-private classes are a nice size--not too big and still able to offer personalized attention to your form.

Great space with variety of classes, from yoga to Pilates to weight training to Hiit workouts! And CHILD CARE too! Also great classes for kids - arts, music, movement. Trainers are knowledgeable and great to work with. And the owner, Kwanua specializes in pre- and post-natal recovery & strength building.

I have been taking my 18 month old daughter to PowerPlay for the last two months for the music and dance classes and it has been so much fun for both of us. My daughter is able to socialize and play in a safe, and nurturing environment. I would definitely recommend PowerPlay for other parents - there's also a fresh pot of coffee for the adults and snacks for the kids after most classes too which is a nice perk!

This place was a godsend after I had my second baby. I had weakness and pain in places I hadn't before. I started going to Mom and Baby Tone and Flex and can't say enough good things about it. Kwanua really took the time to evaluate my needs and offer modifications to tailor my workout to my recovery. I've really regained a lot of the strength I lost. It's more expensive than workouts I would've considered in the past (I was a 24 hour fitness member for years) but when I consider this class as part workout and part physical therapy it's well worth it. I have been working out with kwanua in the baby +me postnatal classes for the past 5 months, along with some intermittent yoga with kimm and the classes have been amazing for getting back into shape!! i like that the classes tend to be small, and getting that attention for helping make sure i have good posture and form has been amazing. i feel a lot fitter and have dropped all the baby weight, and then some!

I've been wanting to check out PowerPlay for some time now and finally did. While I originally wanted to try one of their HIIT / lifting classes, they added yoga so I tried that first.
The yoga class was pretty good. Nothing crazy, but it happened to be exactly what I needed (read: all I had energy for) that day, so I was happy.
It was quite slow and only had about 4-5 people in it. The instructor was very friendly and had nice music, and they provide mats, blankets and props for students.
I'll report back if I do the lift + shred / HIIT.

PowerPlaySF is probably the kid-friendliest place there is. Kwanua is super motivating and even with two kids crawling around me (or on me) I am looking forward to the workout each week. But it doesn't really stop with the workout. Kwanua motivates you also to eat healthy and to take care of yourself. Super important after having children.
They are super accommodating with modifying the workout towards your needs while working in a group setting.
I also trained with Kwanua one-on-one a bunch of times and I can promise you she will get you back into shape while having a smile on your face

I've been working out with Kwanua for a few years now, she's amazing!! Since opening Power Play she's expanded what she offers and I have loved every part!! Classes are small and the teachers give great feedback and individual attention. My fiance and i are doing classes each week with Jon and Jenn
