I've lived in the Lynnwood/Mountlake Terrace area for 5 years. I'm so glad I got to spend the last two year living at Silver Oaks! We have to leave because we need to move to Seattle for personal reasons.
Evenlyn, the property manager, is the best one I've ever seen in the area. She's so kind, understanding, and truly cares about the residents. She is very responsive to our questions. She is also very transparent and great at communicating expectations for maintenance turnaround, etc. I highly recommend living at Silver Oaks!!

Silver Oak Apartments is amazing! We lived here for 7 months and we don't have even one complaint about it. The apartment was so nice and renovated and everything worked very well. The complex is very quiet and relaxing to live at as well as being close to town. The clubhouse is super nice and has a great pool and sauna! The people we met here were nice and friendly. Especially the property manger, Evelyn! She was the most helpful person and helped us with any questions and made move in/out very convenient and helpful. The utility services were easy to use as well. We highly recommend this

Evelyn is the best apartment manager! My roommate and I have lived here for about 5 months now and the community is great and quiet, Evelyn is so accommodating and the renovations they just finished look amazing including the new clubhouse! Other reviewers on here are so incorrect about the mold, I have seen no mold anywhere nor have I experienced any of the health factors associated. I love living here and don't anticipate that changing. I would highly recommend to anyone, young (college aged), or older (full adult).

I've lived at Silver Oak Apartments for 6 months now and I've been very happy so far. The complex is quite small compared to surrounding apartment complexes which is what makes it so nice! I moved here from the midwest and Evelyn (manager) made the application process seamless. My apartment was also being updated the month before I arrived and Evelyn kept me and my husband in the loop regarding the construction progress as we approached our move-in day. (Updated: new carpet, new appliances, new cabinetry, etc.)

I recently signed our lease for the 6th year here! Evelyn is absolutely WONDERFUL! She will go out of her way to help you. Our maintenance man, Josh is always on top of any problem. We have been treated so well. We look forward to more time here. Evelyn is the reason that we have such nice tenants, and a happy crime free environment! Thank you so much!! : )

Pros: Fairly close access to I5.
Cons: MOLD!!!! Health warning!! This overpriced and severely outdated property is utterly toxic. One tenant literally had fungi growing underneath their carpet when they pulled it up. I was sick with bronchitis 3 separate times inside 6 months while living at Silver Oak which has never happened before in my entire life. Just read the reviews on www.apartmentratings.com and see for yourself.
In addition, the onsite property manager is a dishonest and manipulative corporate drone who has made numerous enemies on the property by lying directly to their faces

I only lived at silver oak Apts for 7 months, but my experience with the management was wonderful, evelyn (the office manger) was very friendly and helpful, the maintainece manager was always professional and took care of any problem we had...friendly neighbors, great location...nothing but positive reviews from me..Any negative review you see about silver oak apts, take with a grain of salt because this staff goes above and beyond to please their tenants and whoever is complaining is probably just a negative person by nature and will never be satisfied with anything....
