Adams Avenue Bicycles
Established in 1978, but we like to think of ourselves as more than just a bike shop. Over the decades we've built a community and family around the love of riding. And riding can sometimes come with some big egos, so it's important to remind ourselves that bikes are supposed to be fun. Riding with friends is fun!

Shredding trails is fun! Camping off your bike is fun! Winning races is fun! But winning the party is the funniest! Everyone here has a story of how they joined the AAB family and has their own passion and connection to the sport. We really pride ourselves on our knowledge and attention to detail to ensure that you get the most from your bike.

It's now 2021 and Adams Ave is still the best bike shop in San Diego. Everything I said before goes double. Recently had my bike stolen just before the holidays went up to Adams the same day and got the same great service I've always got. Now I'm riding my beautiful new bike. If you need a bike, expert advice, any repairs or parts, Adams avenue bikes is the place to go.
Fantastic shop. Staff is highly skilled. Never a wait, always someone ready to help. No pressure, free evaluation of problem. Fast turnaround on repairs if needed. Excellent, competitive pricing. If they dont have it in stock they

Usually decent but the last bike repair on mtb shifter just wasn't great...came back without a protective plate and only when I took my bike to a different bike shop did I become aware of it.

Not worth the trouble.

These people are the kindest most caring folks. I've had nothing but the best experiences with them. Not only have they helped me transform my cycling experience, but they've helped me learn so much as a beginner. None of the gatekeeping or elitism that I've found in some parts of the cycling community. They're rad people who are making the world a better place

I purchased a Surly Bridge Club bike at Adams Avenue Bicycles (Grandma’s Lipstick color which is a gorgeous full red) about one month ago. I’ve waited until now to provide my review to give me a chance to really try out the bike. I must say that the service, attention, and patience, and totally no pressure, by Chuck and Martin was outstanding. The depth of the knowledge of the Adams Avenue staff and, most importantly, their listening to me to make sure that how I planned to ride would match the bike. Well, it’s a match! On top of that, I like to ride more upright, and Chuck spent a lot of

This is a great bike shop. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and, best of all, honest! They were helpful when I needed to buy a bike during the lockdown (my original bike was stolen) and have been accommodating with other bike services since. I highly recommend this place!!!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! Chuck and Martin are simply world-class individuals!! Their helpful disposition, lovely attitude and robust knowledge made my visit absolutely stellar. I'm 100% brand new to the world of cycling and had just about every question in the world. They answered each and every one of them with kindness and patience, fixed my dilapidated beach cruiser to perfection in just a couple of days, and like true gentlemen, helped me load my bike to my car. I love this place and you will too. So happy I found it.

We bought a couple of custom built touring bicycles from Adam's. They were a complex build with many hard to source parts. The interaction on the phone, via email, and in person was excellent. They were knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended bike shop.

10/10 experience Chuck went out of his way to stay a little longer than normal store hours just to help me a complete beginner get a bike. Not only that but Martin was excellent with his customer service over the phone. I highly recommend going.

I couldn't get an appointment in under two weeks at my local bike shop. Covid season and all. I used to work down the street from Adams Avenue about five years back and after checking their reviews decided to try them out. My girlfriend called Adams Avenue Bicycles and made an appointment. When we got their they couldn't find a record of her appointment. I was sitting next to her when she made it. The managed to say the would fit us in and kept the bike She has an older TREK road bike which was having braking issues. We dropped the bike off and a day or so later they called to

These guys are great, good people. Always friendly and highly professional, even to those of us with older, heavily used & loved bikes. I've trusted them for years. Never felt any of that nasty, bike-nerd arrogance coming from them, always felt like they respect and appreciate you for just being someone who loves biking too. It's like their goal always is to get you up and out there riding.
I've found their advice and choice of options is spot-on. I like that they're small, locally owned and even carry some of the great locally manufactured stuff we in SoCal are so lucky to have here. Their prices

Warm welcomes, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a top notch selection of bike products are some of what you'll find at Adams Avenue Bicycles. Workmanship and attention to detail are at the highest level. The staff is willing to answer any and all of your questions, will take the time to explain topics of complexity, and make sure you understand what is being done to your bicycle and why regardless of whether it's a tune up or custom build. If you are looking for a bicycle shop that puts the consumer first and is owned and staffed by people who are passionate about bicycles, components

I bought a road bike from this shop. I love my Cannondale CAAD10. This bike shop has great prices, great bikes, and great service. Very honorable staff. It amazes me that somebody who never bought a bike from them gets motivated to leave a bad review. This guy gets bent out of shape because this bike shop wouldn't let him test ride bikes unless he was almost ready to buy do to Covid restrictions. In the bad review the guy says 5 other bikes shops let him test ride bikes. WHAT? YOU WENT TO 5 BIKE SHOPS, PUT WEAR AND TEAR ON THEIR BIKES, TOOK THE SALES PERSON'S TIME, DIDN'T BUY FROM ANY OF THEM,

Love this shop. They are always willing to talk to me about my various bike projects in various states of completion and they have an excellent selection of sometimes hard to find parts. Also bought a bike here a while back and nothing but good things to say about the buying process. Always super friendly, super helpful and never judgmental, which is a lot more than a lot of bike shops can say. Can’t recommend enough.

Last week, I had my bicycle worked on at Adams Avenue Bicycles. I am a loyal customer of theirs and this is (I think) my 3rd bike that they have been servicing so they've been with me for at least two decades. I wasn't sure how this would work during a pandemic but everything went smoothly and I appreciated that everyone wore a mask and that the business was practicing all methods to help keep customers safe.

My review is two-fold in that something happened while picking up my bike and it was entirely my fault. I will go into repairs and maintenance later but this section is about an

Underquoted and overcharged. Maybe a year ago and the bad taste is still with me hence the review after all thisThat was the last time I set foot in there. I called back to dispute it and they just made excuses. It's not about the money as much as the principle. We agreed on the price BEFORE any work was done. Why is the bill suddenly 30% higher AFTER the work was done?? Oh "we forgot to include this and that blah blah"

I am impressed with Adams Avenue Bicycles professionalism and customer focus. While it is difficult to operate a public facing business during this COVID emergency, the professionals that operate here make it work. I took my bike in for a repair and needed it done as it is my only real activity outside the home. These guy also love bicycles and could see fixing it was important to me. They quickly completed the repair, made some helpful suggestions and wished me a good day. These guys are now my favorite bike repair location.

Hi All:
Want to do something great for your community with your stimulus check. Spend some of it on a purchase from Adams Avenue Bicycles.
I just bought a Linus Womens Commuter Bike from Adams Avenue Bicycles. Chuck is so accommodating during this Covid-19 pandemic.
He helped me with purchasing this bike along with a few accessories. Chuck actually delivered the bike to me since I don't have a bike rack. That is beyond service. They are very knowledgeable and can help you get into the right bike that meets your needs from a precision racing bike down to a commuter bike.

Thanks so much

This is a great place to drop of your bicycle to get fix or either buy your new bike and any accessory for your bike.
They got my bike fix and did a general maintenance.
Fast service too. They took on my 3 weekdays to fix my bike.
Eventhough the store is on a principal street you can find lot of space to park and take your bicycle out of the car with plenty of space.
