Rented beach cruisers from Todd this weekend and had a blast biking around Mission park and mission bay trail. The bikes were just what we needed and Todd had good tips on where to go as well as helmets/locks etc. The area is super bikeable and one of the highlights of our weekend for sure. Highly recommend!

Rented two electric bikes from this shop. Todd was very friendly and knowledgable. Helped us with selection of the bikes to fit our needs (and hight) . We rented for two days, so Tod provided us with the charge cords for our bikes, so we can store and charge them overnight at our hotel. Helmets were provided as well. We put quote a few miles on these bikes - they were very comfortable and charge lasted all day both days.
Would definitely use this shop again next time we are in the area.

A wonderful place with a great flexible proprietor. Todd was enthusiastic about our plans to rent a couple of ebikes and go from OB out to Point Loma. After a brief conversation to get the details set up, he arranged for us to pick up our bikes the next morning. Everything was well-maintained and the comfortable. We got directions for our trip and off we went. We couldn't have been happier with our experience with Todd and his assistant Tanner. It was inexpensive, no-hassle and fun.

As the only bike rental in Ocean Beach, you don't really have a choice. And the good news is that the pricing is great, and there was a choice between a cruiser, road bike or electric bike. Helmets were available for free. And the owner is a really interesting and informative guy. What else do you want? If you want a top of the line place, or a place that looks like a top of the line place, then this isn't exactly that, but it's Ocean Beach, home of Crazy White People and the faint smell of urine everywhere, and the bikes definitely aren't in top shape, but they work fine. Some friends and I were in San Diego last weekend and we had a great experience at Top Jolt! Todd was fun to talk to and the bikes were in good condition. He was patient when I asked questions about the forms we had to sign. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in OB and would go back myself!

Went here this morning and some blond dude had the worst attitude in the world to operate a store. I wouldn't purchase a pair of socks from this rude fuc#er!!! I asked if he carried bike rack and he responded as if I was some street urchin! I even indicated that I wanted to support local businesses. This fool looked as if he was foreign. No matter, learn customer service you twit!!!!!

My husband and I rented 2 bikes here. Overall the rental experience was efficient, he had lots of bikes, but the quality of the bikes weren't great. The owner was very friendly but not super helpful - when asked about his hybrid bikes, he pointed to a group of bikes and said to "choose any there" - many of which weren't hybrid bikes. There was a bike with a smaller frame that was on a rack, and he said that he couldn't reach it and that the seat was probably too short, but made no effort to help. My husband had to get the bike off the rack and adjust everything for me.

We rented electric bikes for the day from Top Jolt cycles. Todd was very helpful and patient with the newbies who had never ridden electric bikes before. The bikes were in brand new condition and they never gave us any problem for the whole day we used them. We all had a great time with them and would rent from him again!! Thanks, Lynn

It's 2020 and the pandemic hit. You go to Walmart, target, big 5, dicks to try and find bikes and they're SOLD OUT. Like I mean SOLD OUT. You can't even order from their websites. I slowly get discouraged and then I go on OfferUp and come across Top Jolt. I reach out and ask about the cruisers he was selling and he immediately responded and we connected. I came up on 2 beautiful cruisers and Todd the shop owner was very helpful. Get your bikes here!
