We are just one short block away from both Mission Bay to our east, and the beautiful Mission Beach shoreline to our west. For the land lovers we have amazing Beach Cruisers, Hybrid bikes, Road Bikes, roller blades, skateboards and even the family surreys!

Established in 2014, Rays Rentals Newport Beach is the Newest of our family of stores. Ray's Rentals Newport specializes in high quality beach rentals as well as the latest in souvenirs and beach fashion. We are located on Main Street, adjacent to the Historic Balboa Pavilion and the Fun Zone! Locals know the three-mile-long stretch with the harbor on one side, and the broad, sandy California beaches on the other as "the Peninsula."

Hello all. I accidentally left this review at the other location but I’m sure it would have been the same experience. I was on vacation with my family and the place we were staying recommended Rays Rentals for us to go for bikes. We went there to see an uneducated, understaffed, and overpriced rental store. DO NOT GO TO RAYS. We ended up walking literally right across the street to find a clean and organized rental shop by the name of Radd Action Sports. The staff here was so kind and patient with us and our family and had no problem assisting us with anything we needed. Also baskets and locks

They staff it with one person, so if there's any kind of line you'll be here awhile trying to rent something. We were third in line and it took over forty minutes to get a bike... Took fifteen minutes after renting the bike to actually get it because getting the next customers card charged was more important than finishing with the customer just charged. The bike seat was also broken, it would not stay up so it was a very uncomfortable ride.

My cousins bday is tomorrow so I wanted to do something today and since my daughter and I have been wanting to go Paddle Boarding this was the perfect timing. We were going to use a Groupon but the place we chose in Coronado stops renting out paddle boards at 4pm. They referred us to Rays Rentals. I called to see if they were still renting them out… and he was! Jackson was so helpful with us getting off and on the boards. We're first timers so we were nervous but he gave us tips and calmed our nerves. Paddle Boarding is much harder than it looks lol luckily we were here at 5pm so it was

SUPER disappointed with prices and chair quality. He rented us a tiny chair (those low ones) for $15 for 2 days. We happened to be RIGHT across the street at another rental shop. That guy is renting the nice Tommy Bahama Chairs for $5/day!!!!! After our rental was done with the tiny chair, we took that back and got another rental from the place right across the street. Umbrella rentals are cheaper there, too. The umbrella bag we got with our umbrella rental was ripped, so it was inconvenient to carry vs slinging it over your shoulder. Don't go to Ray's. Too expensive for the quality! Gave 2 stars

I used to go here all the time and they were great. It's super quick and easy to rent from them! I brought my friends and then they took me all time because it was cheap, fun, and we all enjoyed the rentals.
So when I wanted to get my own gear, I went to them for help. I was mainly wanting to ask them for recommendations to places to buy my own gear. They said they could get me gear and set me up but it'd be expensive. I was fine with this because I really liked them.
