A service focused shop offering repair on all makes and models of bicycles. I am a mechanic, not a sales person. My goal is to maintain your existing bike or help you get the right bike for your particular riding style. I stock new bicycles from Jamis, Bianchi, Surly, Niner, REEB, Masi, Haro, All-City, Bombtrack & Electric Assist Bikes from Yamaha.
Used bicycles are totally random and I process them and put them up for sale when time permits. New parts and accessories from the best names in the industry with competitive pricing, matching mail order when possible. I get it, the internet is hard to beat, you can get some great deals and even buy a bike in your underwear.

Mr Klunk is honestly the nicest dude. Answered all of my questions, helped me pick out new grips, pedals, seat. It took him four days to turn around a full tune up and service and my bike feels like a completely different machine. Support your LBS!

Such a wonderful experience! Like everyone else during this crazy time, I decided I needed a bike. Walked up, he knew exactly what I needed even though I didn't, and I was out within 15 minutes. Excellent value and fantastic service even when the store has been so busy. I'll absolutely be back soon.

I bought a used Trek Navigator 300 on August 18, 2020 and very happy with this purchase. No problems whatsoever. This bike was in tip top mechanical shape and not beat up either. All this at a fair price. Before you make a bike investment, new or used, stop by Klunk's.

Brought my bike here for a tune up and to replace some worn parts like the chain and brake pads. Karl (that's the name printed on my receipt) was willing to work on mine first as I don't live in the area and was only going to be there that day. Work was performed well. Labor price appears to be reasonable (if it's higher than typical I'll just consider the rest to be a rush charge). Parts price seems good. The best part is they had everything in stock. Will use again in the future.

Just bought our 3rd bike from Klunk. There are other bike shops in town that are well equipped, but their sales help are usually college aged kids, many without much knowledge of what they are selling. This is absolutely not the case at Klunk. Not only will you be helped by adults, but adults who build, repair, and tune up the bikes...they are also avid cyclists.
As usual, I looked at all the shops in town but I bought again at Klunk for the reasons above.

These folks were really awesome. I had abused my bike for 4 years - very little maintenance. All the other shops were scheduling out a week of better just to get it in. Since Klunk really focuses on maintenance, they seem to have more technicians. Got me right in and now my bike is like brand new. Explained what they did, why, and gave some education on how to get the most out of my bike. Definitely recommend.

This shop is great. The bikes they carry fit the needs of most riders better than other stores in town. They carry all my favorite names in the cycle industry. The guys are friendly, helpful, and know their stuff. This is what a true LBS should feel like.
Even though I was purchasing cheap parts, they treated me like a valued customer. Klunk's is now my first pick for my cycle needs in Columbia. Thanks guys!

As a rookie cyclist (just bought my first bike not even 6 months ago) I was very glad to find a place close here in town with such nice and knowledgeable staff. Every interaction I had with them was a positive one. They were able to repair my bike very quickly and the prices were incredibly reasonable. It is really nice to have a place like this, Columbia is lucky!

Great place, with knowledgable staff! Love the feel of the place and these guys can fix any model, year, make of bike. Always fair pricing on parts, even vintage. I appreciate that they will tell you honestly the value of your bike compared to repairs and other options, unlike other places that will just take your money.

The only bike store in town that I'll go to. Not only are they honest and fair with the regulars, they have treated all my friends fairly, even though they aren't frequent cyclists. The guys at Klunk live bicycles.
They have done several upgrades to my bike, and always present me options rather than telling me I have to go to the most expensive part out there.
If you need bike work, or to purchase, go here now.

This review is way way overdue since I haven't lived in Columbia since 2010. However I love this bike store. It was my go to place and the staff was always very friendly and accommodating.
I decided to buy a bike rack a few minutes after I had paid for my bike at their store. The owner (or manager) was sitting at the counter and gave it to me for free. True story.
I still have that bike and the rack. A used bicycle I bought five years ago (great place to get used bikes), still serves me well today. See them for all your biking needs and support your local bike store. Definitely a huge

Small selection, but wide variety of prices. Unlike one of their competitors, Klunk Cycles and Repair seems to understand that not everyone wants (or can afford) a $1000 bike. The employee I talked to was knowledgeable, friendly, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure that the bike fit the rider.

Josh (with dreadlocks) is fantastic in customer service, knowledge, and so respectful!! The owner on the other hand (short haired guy-don't know his name) has absolutely zero interpersonal and customer service skills. When I walked in to the shop, I walked right up to the owner at the register and he gave no acknowledgment or welcoming...except for Josh who was busy across the room :). I witnessed the owner carelessly throw a customer's wheel on the ground and bike on the repair stand. Josh caught it before it crashed to the ground... with the customer watching the whole scene. The

Best place in town to have your bike serviced or to pick up some essentials. Staffed with unpretentious mechanics who know what they're doing, and like doing it too.
If you can't be bothered sifting through the lemons on craigslist/ebay, they also sell a rotating mix of great rehabilitated bikes that are ready-to-ride. If you ride a bike in Columbia, you'll eventually need that your wheel straightened of that rusty chain serviced. You've gotta check this place out!
