CycleX is 1.5 hours from our home. Worth the drive. Many bikes on display. Bikes come assembled and ready to ride.. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Bought electric bikes for my husband and myself. Had trouble with battery release on my bike. Concern was weather and time before leaving for trip to have bike repaired and picked up. Staff was great to meet our needs and kept us informed of progress. Highly recommend.

I found this shop after failing to find decent customer service at other bike shops in the area. As soon as I entered the store, I knew these guys were who I was looking for. They were very knowledgeable of bikes and helped me find the perfect bike for me, a Specialized Crossroads 2.0. They had a solid inventory and all the accessories I needed. I drove an hour and a half from Kirksville just to give these guys my business. I can’t recommend them enough.

My dad and I went to get two of our bikes to get repaired. We thought it would cost over hundreds of dollars, but the cost was astonishing! They asked us very kindly about what was wrong and then they took the bikes in right away. They fixed our bikes in about 20 minutes and the quality of the fix was amazing. They were very quick and kind, and overall it was the best experience of a bike shop my dad and I ever had!

My husband and I were cycling the Katy Trail and one day into our 5-day trip, my husband's back disc brake wasn't working. We'd brought tools to handle minor repairs, but we couldn't get the brake adjusted enough so that it would grab without rubbing. At our wits end and wanting to get back on the road, we visited CycleX. They diagnosed the problem and offered us a couple of solutions at no charge--which completely floored us and was beyond kind. Have to give these guys a shout out. I had an accident with my bike at 5PM on a Saturday and blew my tire. My husband dashed the three blocks to Cyclextreme and explained the situation. They were closing up, but they waited until he came back to check on me, grabbed the tire, and got it back to the shop. They replaced and inflated my tire. No extra charge for staying late! They were very helpful and kind, and it really saved our day!!! It made all the difference to our biking weekend and we are grateful. If I get a chance to use them again, I certainly will! My friend and I made the trip from STL to do a 2-day, 150-mile bike ride for multiple sclerosis, based in Columbia. Arriving back at the end of the first day, my friend wiped and damaged the fork of her bike. While the Cyclextreme guys at the ride site weren't able to fix it on the spot, they called the staff at the store and got them to keep the store open past closing time so that we could get in and she could rent a bike for the second day of the ride.
The bike she rented was great. Fitted properly and had no issues, even as an unfamiliar bike on a 75-mile day. We really appreciated them

This is a great store with terrific staff. We needed to pack and ship our bikes after riding the Katy Trail. They helped us find boxes (for free!) and even came down with their peddle wrench when our wrench didn't work. Knowledgeable - helpful - all about the love of biking! AND they are right next to FedEx-- gotta love it!!

I have been looking for a bike for quite awhile. I have done it all...internet, bike shops, asking around, etc. I made the trip from Kansas City to Columbia, MO with the sole purpose of going to Cyclextreme. I left the store with a new bike that was personalized and fitted to me! Cycletreme had a knowledgeable and friendly staff. I peppered them with questions and they answered! I tried out 5 bikes before settling on the perfect ride. Great experience, great service and overall great purchase.
