The new downtown location provides customers easier access to the Katy Trail and the historic downtown area. Ample free parking is available right behind the bike shop. After four years, the bike shop expanded its operations to West Edgewood Drive and remained there until its move to the downtown location.
The Red Wheel Bike Shop offers hybrid bicycles perfect for exploring Jefferson City's sites, the bike trails and the city's parks and lakes. I called Red Wheel Bike Shop last week looking for a specific bike that was really hard to find in this day & age of COVID, and thankfully they still had it in stock, and offered to hold it for me as I told them I'd buy it. I live in Oklahoma City, which is a long drive to pick up a bike, as you have to pay in-person, and they don't ship. Totally understandable.
That being said, my Mom drove from Kansas City to pick up the bike while I was en-route, and while they followed through on holding the bike, I was extremely disappointed to hear the service and treatment my mother received from an employee

I went to Red Wheel Bike Shop in December 2019, in search for a ladies bike for Christmas for my wife, as she has been riding “garage sale find” bikes for years. Nick was extremely helpful in finding what I thought she wanted. He never pressured me in any way and was more than happy to order the bike I wanted for her, even though he already had one in stock in a different color. She was extremely pleased with the bike. Fast forward to February, 2020, I decided to upgrade my big box store bike. I went to Walt’s and Cyclex in Columbia to compare what Nick was offering at Red Wheel in Jeff City
