Ashland Loop: This classic Southern Boone County loop combines some of the best hills in the area with Rangeline Road, a nice open road near the Columbia Regional Airport.
The Boone County Triple Threat(#BooneCoTripleThreat) is a challenge from us to you. Complete all three centuries posted here by the end of the year and get an embroidered patch (pictured above). Simple as that. Provide proof that you've completed these routes by showing us your GPS files e.g. The routes in question contain a mixture of gravel and pavement.

Walt’s is the best bike store in town! My husband and I have purchased bikes, bike accessories and clothing at this store. Walt’s is great for maintenance and repairs. My husband has an old road bike that was restored at Walt’s. Last week I took an old Trek to Walt’s for new tires and a safety inspection. I mentioned I was giving the bike to a middle school student who needed it to get to school. Walt’s waived the labor charges. I am so touched by the generosity of this business and its support for Columbia. Thank you so much.

Shopping at Walt's Bike Shop is always a positive experience. My husband and I have purchased several bikes from Walt's. Our most recent purchase were 2 E trek bikes. The advantage of purchasing at Walt's is you will always have expert maintenance and follow up with your Bikes. Staff is knowledgeable about all the bikes and equipment they have available.

This place was great! We were driving from NC to OR and needed to pick up a new carrier and replacement bike for my son. They kindly installed my new rooftop carrier on my car, in the rain, and then helped me get my son's new bike on our rack. They were knowledgeable, friendly and very, very helpful. They also made sure to see that our older bike was donated to a local nonprofit for someone who needs one.

Great selection of bikes and service techs available- the bikes are quality, not junk and having qualified people to service them matters, at reasonable prices- really glad we bought two bikes here. I also like that the techs are friendly and will consult with you about bike modifications if you ask - new tires types and pedals etc. we also bought a very good used stationary bike from Walts - it was also very reasonably priced and was in great working order. You get what you pay for at Walts and I’m not sure I even know of another bike service tech business in the area that is clean, prompt and

Mark, Sara, and the other staff are very helpful and friendly. Yesterday I traded in a 2000 Schwinn that my husband and I had bought from Walts 21 years ago. Mark gave me a great trade-in price. He also spent time to make sure I got a good fit on the new Electra Townie, comparing the size to another model I was considering.
Service over the years, mostly for my husband's Trek, has been stellar. We have to drive quite a long way to visit Walts and there are shops much closer to home, but a trip to Walts is always worth the drive!

This whole pandemic thing is pretty gnarly. I’m a gym rat and realized I can’t go months without getting into the gym, and I’m not a runner. I’ve always been into biking and have owned a bike since before I can remember. I called up Walt’s on a whim because I was hoping to trade in two pretty expensive bikes for one all around great bike (a salsa gravel bike). Mark was the first one who answered my calls and was who I dealt with on the daily. He helped get me a reasonable price on my trade ins, order the bike I wanted and answer any questions I had. He kept very good and detailed notes
