Something has changed here. I'm a frequent patron to the bar and it's been very enjoyable, I looked forward to coming. Everyone was super friendly and said hi, how are you doing... how's it going. That's what I remember always being the vibe. Now, barely a word and it's forced. Nothing like what I had come accustomed to at all.
Please don't lose this vibe with your staff it's what makes your place a go to for so many. This is second week in a row that the vibe is different.
I hope this comes back to what it used to be.

The pricing is okay. The restaurant had good atmosphere. But the menu is just not my style. It is a cross of very healthy and western. The menu right now is pretty limited too. Worth trying. But it is not an IHOP or wafflehouse. It is much more upscale, closer to an original pancake house. It even had tiny as hell water glasses and the bottle of cold water on the table.

Food and drinks are always good. Always busy so make time for the wait. Mimosas and bloodys were enjoyed. Eggs Benedict excellent. Pancakes fluffy. Always good.

Mediocre food, boring menu, and slow service but good atmosphere at Mockingbird location. The blueberry muffin is super boring and loaded with sugar. Yuck. And the toast tasted like cheap, store-bought bread—not to mention they served it so burnt it was black. They really need to step up their game here because I want to like this place but they’re not giving a reason…

Great place for breakfast or brunch. I had their take on shrimp and grits. It was served over polenta cakes instead of traditional grits. Beignets were different really were croissants with powdered sugar . Others had Austin tacos and Elvis all got great reviews.

Bummed because I love this place and one day - when I recover - I'll give it another chance. I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning here and it's been a beast. Please don't order the tuna melt!

Love enjoying a meal on their patio and they're super dog friendly! I especially enjoy their brunch and large portions...especially their delicious omelets and popovers. They offer a wide variety of items for breakfast/ brunch, lunch and dinner and their service is always super quick and friendly. Recently, I had Sunday brunch on their patio and brought my two pups. Our service was attentive and the food was great! I also enjoyed a glass of wine from their happy hour menu.

Dream Cafe is a great neighborhood spot for consistently yummy food and great service!

I've been here at least 5 times over the past couple of years. The first couple of times, it was great.
--excellent food, service, atmosphere, very clean, positive all the way around. The most recent couple of times, though, not so much. Yesterday's blue plate chicken and mashed potatoes were delicious, but the asparagus, well, it was definitely on its death bed before it was tossed on the grill. I couldn't eat it. A substitution should have been offered and would have been appreciated. The hostess was not hospitable or friendly, the waitress needed some help, and none of the staff

This place was so cute and quaint! I enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and our waitress Nicole was awesome! I will definitely be back to order some of the other delicious looking items on the menu! Pictured below Polenta Cheese Grits, Chicken and Waffles, Hashbrowns, Lump Crab Benedict (with scrambled eggs), and a Grand Royale for the cocktail! DELICIOUS!

I had excellent large fluffy pancakes topped with whipped cream, sliced strawberries and maple syrup, great fat link sausages. Better than any other restaurant in memory. Our friends enjoyed vegetable egg frittatas topped with salad. Great service, patient, thoughtful, generous. I didn't like dogs loudly barking among tables on the patio, but still recommend this place. Suggest visiting during off hours to avoid the crowds.

This place was pretty good and we were seated fairly quickly on Mother's Day. Less than a 10 minute wait. The waitress was very kind and attentive, and the food was delicious. Very light portion (but filling) and it didn't leave you feeling heavy or lethargic af

Really good portions for the price! Interior is really pretty. I got the farmer's omelet and it was very filling and tasty. We also got berries and cream to try (although it's good, I would not reorder). Would come back to try other foods/ the omelet again!

Came here for brunch on Sunday morning, and although it was fairly busy, my friend and I were seated in about 10 minute on the patio without having made a reservation beforehand. I ordered a vanilla late and the Dream Benedict with grits- everything I ordered was pretty solid and I enjoyed my meal. The only reason for 4 stars is that the service was veery slow and it took quite some time for our food to come out.

It doesn't look like much from the outside but the breakfast is on point. My parents have been to The Dream Cafe multiple times, while visiting from out of state. The granola encrusted french toast, my smoked salmon bagel, spiced rum coffee, and more really hit the spot. I'll be visiting again for breakfast!!

The menu of this cafe is so appealing that I wanted to love the food. Unfortunately my meal (The Dream Benedict) arrived cold. Whether it was the temperature or the general lack of seasoning (minus the salty ham) I was not overly impressed. The pop-over was dry and wasn’t served warm, so the smidgeon of strawberry butter that accompanied it didn’t melt on the pastry. The coffee was hot and delicious. Service was okay, but not particularly attentive. My friend’s dish arrived warm, but she also commented on the lack of seasoning. When originally looking at the menu we had both planned to order

I would not recommend this place. I had a bad service experience and the food was just OK. With all of the brunch options in Dallas, this place does not stand out.

First, service: We didn't get to place our food order for the first 25 minutes we were there. The first time we even were greeted by our waiter was after 15 minutes of sitting there. Then when our food came out, the girl held out my food so when I put my hand out she just let go of the plate and nearly dropped the plate on the ground.
In terms of food, I got the dream Benedict without hollandaise. I didn't end up eating the

All day brunch on weekends? Don't tell me twice! I've been here in two separate occasions and their food and drinks always hit the spot! They have the classic dishes and ones with a twist. Definitely check out their beignets (they are actual clouds in your mouth), and honestly any of their breakfast foods. Their service is always top notch and I would definitely say this is a solid spot to get brunch with a small or large group!

Unexpected surprise with the Dream Cafe

I ordered the chicken salad sandwich thinking I was getting a grilled chicken sandwich. Part of that was because I had been up 48 hours and I guess the other part was how it seemed to be described on the menu.

Pleasantly enough it was a better chicken salad than I had tasted in quite a while.

The fries were tasty but not as crispy and wonderful as the hash browns my sidekick ordered. We were both pleased with the outing and the setting.

Food could have been better of course and as usual in my book but was a pleasant morning brunch to enjoy after a

This is such a cute and cozy brunch place! We tried this place out for my husband’s birthday and everything we ordered was delicious. The place was clean and we had no issues. Their Mickey Mouse pancake is perfect for children or the young at heart.

The Dream is always packed with diners, all ages, generations of families. Big place, plenty of seating, open air depending upon the weather.
Good menu of comfort food dishes, some noveau items, drinks to relax.
I could not get a seat on Sunday, I vowed to come back.
And I did, Tuesday afternoon, only a handful of diners!

Fermin was waiter, a very pleasant & helpful mature caballero.
I chose the Monte Cristo sandwich, with hashbrown potatos... easy comfort food, with a hibiscus iced tea.
Result was oily, half-cooked hashbrowns, and the meats in the sandwich had been cooked on a dirty grill

My bestie brought me here with our daughters. I could kick myself in the butt for not taking some pictures.

Was sat right away, though sitting outside sounded much more better but it was packed and no room outside. Was a bit busy inside as well.

Our waiter was decent. He wasn't the best. Had to ask for refills and get someone else to take payment. He could've been better but he was okay.

The food..omg if I could put like 30 drool emojis I would. Was so delicious and good. There was 4 of us and we all tried something different and tried each other's food. Monte Cristo was the

BEST BREAKFAST! SO DELICIOUS. When I tell you every bite worth every penny and more, I mean it. Not too expensive you get what you pay for. My husband got shrimp and grits I got the dream benedict coupled with vanilla lattes and oh my god it was soooo good came up to 47 dollars breakfast for two! Our waiter Roberto was so attentive checking on us constantly and recommending menu Items he usually works the patio so if you go out there ask for him. I wanted to tip the chef the food was so good. Top recommendation for sure they had the game on so we were entertained and the patio is dog friendly.
