While visual demands vary between sports, visual tracking, eye-hand coordination, focusing ability, peripheral vision awareness and visual reaction time are skills that apply to nearly every sporting situation. Athletes spend hours training their bodies to perform to their best abilities. Incorporating training of visual skills allows the athlete to process more information in a shorter period of time.
Acquired brain injuries (strokes, multiple sclerosis, tumor) and traumatic brain injuries (whiplash, concussion, trauma) can cause a whole host of visual symptoms. The cells in the brain that interpret vision and control eye movements are distributed throughout the entire brain, with complex connections to other parts of the brain monitoring hearing and balance, and directing speech and movement.

I wonder if they have a catalog of frames to browse? I really, really want to give them my eye wear business - they have a GREAT selection of high quality frames from the conservative to the avant-garde…. That being said, I’d like to get a couple pairs of glasses and I have a specific vision for one pair…. 👍🤓😎 👓🕶

Walking in the door I saw folks ready to help me. The staff was very friendly and so was the doctor while we worked out the best lens choices. She then explained what she saw in my eyes and gave me an idea of how long anything would need to be done to my eyes. I left her with a very clear idea of a timeline for treatment.

For forty years I never needed glasses or a visit to the optometrist - until I noticed some changes with my eyesight and wanted to consult with the professionals and see what might be the matter.
In a matter of 90 minutes, the team at Acuity Eyecare in Kyle ran the tests, determined what the issue was, and had me fitted for a new pair of very attractive glasses. My first pair ever.

This place was just awesome. Everyone was so helpful and informed. Dr K was able to access perfectly what would work best for me and I have never been more clear about the plan of care as I was with her. Melissa was so great helping me decide what frames and materials. Each person I interacted with from start to finish was helpful. I mean I have been to a lot of places in my 57 years and this place was the best experience I ever had!!!

I had my first visit to the office and yesterday and was extremely satisfied with the level of service , attention, and professionalism of the staff and Dr. Kekahuna. Everything was explained to me and there were no surprises. I had a lot of questions about my eyes and Dr K was very patient and accommodating. I can not say enough about her practice, and the location was perfect for me as well.

My glasses had something wrong with the coating where they would fog up in a couple of places. Acuity was awesome in standing behind their work and ordered new lenses for me. The doctor even told me I did not need bifocals, like I was told by the Walmart doctor. Very nice people and I love the frames I found there! Usually I get a crappy selection due to my insurance, but all of their frames leave you feeling good about yourself. People appreciate having dignity and feeling cute, no matter their income level. Melissa is especially sweet. Ty for helping me, ladies!

My wife and I made back to back appointments at Acuity. We both had a great experience there. Everyone was super friendly and professional. Dr. K was very thorough in her examination and explained everything in great detail. I'd give ten stars if I could. We'll be using Acuity from here on out. I can't recommend them enough

New to the area, I did not know where to go for eye care. I am glad I chose Acuity because Dr. K can explain things clearly and her staff is very efficient. I was able to do the exam, pick out some great frames made in the USA, and get back to work in a timely manner. I highly recommend Acuity Eyecare!
