Update: Maintenance here is still bad. I put in a request the day I wrote the first review and it was attended to in 48 hours. After that, I have put in several new requests and it has been at least 4 days and no response whatsoever. Very reactive management. On the plus side, the maintenance guy does his best and is a nice guy! One additional star for his good customer service.
PROs: New units, fair price relative to the competition (this may no longer be the case as listed price has now gone up and the deals offered several months ago are not offered anymore)
CONs: Ridiculous trash charges

Amelia Apartments are awesome! The management team is awesome and very accommodating. My wife and I lived in a fully furnished 1 bedroom unit on the 4th floor. The roof top Terrance has amazing views and the entire place is modern and new. There are 2 grocery stores, at least 5 restaurants and a target about a block away. Super convenient. Special thanks to the management team!!

Scheduled a tour online and then showed up but no one is there. the leasing office isn’t even set up, called the main line and the offsite person gave me another number to call. called it and got sent to the same generic phone tree, got connected with someone else who said they would put me on hold to see where I needed to go and then hung up. tried calling back, all options on the phone tree and no one answers, it just plays this aggressive classical music in loops

Increasing rating to 3 stars (will increase/decrease rating in the future based on continuity of the recent changes from the new management team). Looks like a new property management team that understands how to manage a property is in place and they are taking tenant concerns seriously). Parking garage issues have dropped immensely.
This is the first ever review I am writing for an apartment complex. There is no way Amelia should tag itself as a luxury apartment complex - having an elevator doesn't qualify you to be a luxury apartment. It's the quality of your customer service, amenities, maintenance

Terrific apartment tour! I toured Amelia Apartments this past weekend, and absolutely loved it. They have, by far, the best one bedroom layout. The view from their rooftop is also absolutely gorgeous. The space is beautiful and brand new. It's just off the main street and in walking distance to Sprouts Market.
They're currently offering an ahhh-mazing COVID relief deal with a couple months free and a peloton bike (5/19/21). If you're in the market for a new place in Oakland, definitely check this place out.

**WARNING** This company is a scam and I would rate it less than zero stars. I sent in all my information including a deposit and application fee. Then I was told after they got my money that the unit is not available. I have requested a refund several times and no-one has gotten back to me. Don't deal with this company. They do not have a voice mail set up and can just ignore you.
