Reasonable prices & quick turnaround time for a tune up. What cracked me up is the peddle baskets ($15.00) they put on my bike. The are rusted!

Dropped in when my road bike was making funky noises. Tommy was super helpful, and able to make a quick fix on the fly so I was able to get back riding. I'm admittedly new to road biking and he took the time to give me a "101" on gear cables and patiently answer all my questions. Highly recommend!

We wanted to go biking on the East Bay bike path from Blackstone Park. In order to fit 2 electric bikes in the back of our SUV, we had to remove the front wheels. Unbeknownst to us, we did not use brake disc pad spacers and unwittingly squeezed the brakes causing the calipers to tighten up. We wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to put the front wheels back on, which would not go back in no matter how hard we tried. My husband and I finally decided to go to a bike repair shop to help us install the wheels after we realized our mistake.

The guys who work here are really, knowledgeable

Excellent work, and they made it work with my bike's original hardware, saving me money. Oh, and they had it done a day ahead of schedule. Fantastic customer service.

Terrible service totally rude to new and unexperienced riders. My wife went there with her bike. The gear shifter needs a new hold down clamp or a retainer clip screw and the person she dealt with wouldn't walk out and look at the bike he analyzed it from the cash register and Told her "from what he can see its $150 to fix and won't be able to get to her for at least 2 weeks to a month" he was completely rude and unhelpful. I get it she didn't have a $1,000 bike but you could have listened, looked at the bike closely and then offered help. She wanted a bracket not a rebuild. I suggest taking your

My bike needed a new hub and chain and they rebuilt it in a few days. I locked my bike up the day I got it from the shop and my handlebars were stolen. I took it back as they were closing and they took my bike in and had new handlebars on it by the next morning. They didn't charge me for the new bars and really turned my day around. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Pretty sure all three or four of the one star reviews posted have positively no clue on how a bike shop is run. If your bike isn't fixed on time-- just like a car, or a washing machine, or anything else-- it's because business is busy. If you're annoying, you'll probably be subjected to subpar service. Stop being insecure and calling people ''hipsters'' because a mechanic didn't give you a free tube, idiot. This isn't Montessori School. Businesses like this are run by folks, not corporate machines. I, for one, don't want my bike service rushed

Came for the first time this week, as I needed to repair my son's bike. The Legend staff was courteous, honest and straight forward - waking me through the process, yet honoring my desire to keep the cost down on the repair of a kid's bike (the last thing you want is to be 'upside down' on a bike they'll outgrow faster than you can keep it running).

Although there isn't a 'major-chain' bike shop anyway, it's still nice supporting a local, community business.
Just like Arnold, "I'll be back!"

Glad you have 6 employees and not 1 of them could come out and and say anything to us while we waited 20 mins outside. You should probably work on your customer service skills. I will be finding a new bike shop.

Been in here a few times and they have been helpful. Bought a pair of cycling gloves from them and made adjustments to my bike using their equipment. They seem knowledgeable and fair. Right in my backyard too, they are only a few blocks from me. Local, helpful, knowledgeable.

Great people, great bike map, and nice selection. They happily looked at my bike, put air in the tire, and adjusted my brake so it stopped rubbing. I really love this place and appreciate their help. I'll surely be back.

The best local bike shop you could ever ask for, with helpful staff, great service and value. If you cycle more than a couple hundred miles a year, these folks will become your friends

Legend Bicycle is located 1 mile off the 195 with easy access. The prices at Legends is by the far the best cost per dollar per bike. High quality bikes and components. The special feature of Legends is it's bike repair services located on the premises. Great local bike people working on the bikes, changing tires. Most of the bikes around 25 lbs were around $400.00 - a very good deal for a light weight bike. The owner was on premise and took the time to explain each bike or what the difference was in a steel vs aluminum frame. Great area with lots of great shops within blocks of Legends.

Will definitely go back. I stopped in because I had a flat on my cheap walmart bike that I was having trouble with, I've never fixed a flat before. The bike expert fixed up my flat super quick, for a great price, and gave me tons of pointers on top of patiently answering my questions. The employees didn't judge me for my non fancy bike or lack of knowledge. It was a great experience and I recommend them for anyone like me who is just starting their biking hobby.

Wow! Great bike shop. Had a flat and the bike tech was very friendly and helpful. Even showed me how to repair the flat myself. Found my new favorite bike shop! $17 for flat repair + tube is also a very reasonable price. Love supporting local businesses too. Win win!

Nothing but good vibes at Legend. I moved to RI from CA a year ago, and it was great to meet the folks at Legend and see the culture they've helped foster on the East Side. I've brought my bike in many times over the past year, and they've always helped and returned my bike with so much more life left on it. James is a true homie, having done most of the work on my bike. He's always friendly and never patronizing, and he seems to truly want folks to leave with a healthy bike. James noticed that replacing a small part on my bike would make future repairs easier for me. However

Been to this shop a couple times to get a lock and some air in my tires. Pretty rad that during the times I went the shop the place seemed to be run by women. Definitely not into going into a bike shop where I feel like an idiot for being an amateur cyclist! I felt very welcome here and the service was great.

I know about as much about bikes as I do about quantum mechanics (which is next to nothing), so I was a little nervous to bring in my used bike for a tune-up. But I've been here three times now and each experience has been really positive!

The employees here are the best! They were super helpful over the phone, and when I got to the shop, they made sure to carefully explain everything they were doing and break down the prices (which seemed fair to me!). They're also great about suggesting things without being pushy--I don't feel like I'm being ripped off or cajoled.

Writing this review based on my first (but definitely not last!) experience with this shop. I came by with my bike and a flat tire, and was pleased to encounter such kind, knowledgeable staff, and efficient staff. They were able to service my bike right away, and per my request, they were also able to teach me a few pointers so I can now replace the tube myself. I was also happy to learn that they offer one-on-one "classes" with you and a tech and your own bike. I've found my go-to bike shop, and will be recommending Legend Bicycles to all friends and family!

I'm going to be real blunt, I really hate this place and everyone who works at this shop. I don't throw this around lightly on Yelp, but man, F these guys and this store.

By far the least friendly, and most pretentious to anyone who doesn't know a lot about bikes, or isn't a close friend. The one girl who works there...phewwww...every time I have talked to her or bought something there from her...her passive aggressive attitude is completely rage inducing.

What prompts this 1 star review is our last experience with them as of Today. We have had our tubes replaced here more

I drove an hour to get to this bike shop today and the doors were closed shut even thought they were supposed to open at 10. I waited a half hour and still, nobody there to open up the shop. I am pretty pissed, but I ended up going to Recycle a Bike and spending my $500 there instead. As a business owner myself I find this behavior extremely unprofessional.

I brought my bike for a tuneup, they had a 2 weeks backlog. Booked an appointment for the tune up for which they required a $20 advance payment in order to secure the spot.
Dropped the bike on the scheduled day at 9 AM, they told me it was going to be ready by 4 PM. Went at 6 PM and NOTHING was done on the bike, they didn't even have the courtesy to call me sand spare me the unnecessary trip to the shop.

Why on earth they are so adamant about asking you for a deposit in advance to book an appointment and then they do not do the job!

Here's a true story: once I went here with a brand new steel frame and 1" fork. I needed the steer tube threaded and a headset installed. Dash -- my usual PVD bike shop go-to -- didn't have the necessary tool set and recommended I call these guys, who happen to be in my neighborhood. A mechanic (or someone speaking as such) told me that threading a fork was not possible, that I was mistaken, and instead offered to sell me a new fork for 60 dollars, plus a headset, plus install fees.

A day later, East Providence Cycle's head mechanic happily threaded the steer tube for a paltry

I recently bought my first bike since junior high, and I was terrified of the potential hipster pretension of a bike repair shop. My love of safety won out, and I took my new-to-me bike in for some new brakes and a once-over by someone who actually knows something about bikes.

They could not have been nicer. I had to wait a couple minutes, but the gentleman who worked with me was friendly, thorough and willing to work within my price range. He explained the areas that needed work, asked how much I paid for it (to get a sense of how much I would want to spend fixing it up), and explained everything
