Valuable connections are made in our community shop among bicycle riders. By learning and sharing bike maintenance knowledge, people learn to believe in themselves and their community. Our programs make the simple technology of these pedal powered machines available to all with the help of the volunteer staff and general skill sharing.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
I came with one issue. They sorted many others on top of that. Affordable. Whenever I was reaching out - very quick response. I was dealing with a few different members of staff- they all were very nice, professional and friendly. 100% recommended with no reservation.

Was cycling back Heathrow with a friend and my chain snapped. after researching bike shops whilst miles from anywhere on the canal towpath this came up and I must say for an emergency walk in chance repair the man I spoke with was so friendly and willing to help me he fitted me in straight way and fitted a new chain and replaced a long standing damaged gear cable and charged a very reasonable 60 for the lot. Good as new nearly now. Unfortunately I do not live local to Uxbridge otherwise I’d get them To change my gear cassette. And service. Would recommend.

I've just picked up my serviced and somewhat refurbished bike from this business and couldn't be happier - she's a much more pleasant ride thanks to some adjustments and improvements. They were also incredibly accommodating when I couldn't collect the bike for some weeks due to a family emergency and remained patient and professional. Their communication, customer service and workmanship are all spot on and I'll be recommending them to everyone in the area.

I have been buying bikes from them since 2008, for growing kids this is the best place to buy a second hand bikes but in avery good condition. Whatever you buy or spend from this shop, certain amount goes to the charity or for old people. Staff is amazing and very helpful. Would certainly recommend...

Just stopped by after making an appointment last week, I didn't realize there was a parking lot in the back so it took me a minute to figure it out. Once I did I was able to meet with Rosie and he showed me a couple suitable bikes and I got exactly what I need. Great mountain bike wonderful for the city for 150 bucks and it all goes towards a good cause. Thank you recycle or bike and thank you Rosie.

Arrived at recycle a bike for the first time on 2/5/2020 for a fix a bike class
was supposed to be from 6-9
I was there outside in the cold waiting from 6-6:40 nobody ever showed up
I had taken my bike there via bus trip for nothing 2 hours+ wasted
Im confused why they couldnt at least send a memo or note on door to say class was canceled
I emailed someone named Chelsea and she said it was open"NOT"

If you are looking for quality used bikes and repair I highly recommend Recycle-a-Bike. My husband and I just bought two bikes for ourselves and their customer service, knowledge and prices were outstanding. Support this non profit and get a quality bike as well!

Just bought a beautiful and well tuned bike for just $150! The service was great. The man we met with explained all the different options that recycle a bike has to offer (purchasing options and education classes). He was really kind and patient with all my questions, especially since I have very little bike knowledge. This is a very special place!

This is a great place to repair your bike. I have been twice and both times I was really impressed with the enthusiasm and knowledge of all of the volunteers. They have all the tools you need to fix just about any issue. I really like that they teach you how to repair your bike instead of just doing it for you. I highly recommend this shop for donating old bikes, buying used, or fixing your own.

Floored by how good my experience was at Recycle-A-Bike. I went with the goal of repairing 2 flat tires (damn you, Point Street Bridge), getting an estimate for selling my 1,000lb vintage Schwinn, and browsing the selection of refurbished bikes they have there to buy to replace my commuter bike.
I got all of that done plus more, for the bargain price or $15 for parts, labor, training, and consultation. And knowing that I supported a one-of-a-kind community-based nonprofit.
Recycle-A-Bike, formerly housed at the Steel Yard, is a volunteer-driven social venture nestled in the heart of Olneyville
