In order to do this, we hope that you will accompany us throughout the inspection. Services
The Pre-Purchase Home Inspection is the ideal way to ensure that, as the buyer, you are informed and educated about the property you are purchasing. The Final Walk-Through Inspection is done after a new home has been completed, but prior to the new owner taking possession. Final Walk-Through Inspections are very similar to Pre-Purchase Inspections in scope, but differ slightly in expectation.

You don't have to wait for the office to open - schedule at any time of the day or night. Please make sure that the unit number is placed in the second address line, or ensure that the address validation did not clip the unit number from the address post-validation.
All my life I have been taking things apart, figuring out what was wrong, repairing it, and putting it back together. I used to work on everything from small equipment like lubrication injectors and pumps, to air compressors that were larger than a truck. I have done repairs both in my own home and for other people since I was a teenager.
I did not plan to become a home inspector, but the opportunity arose and I took it! I discovered that I enjoyed doing home inspections, and was good at it.
My prior experience working in the home construction industry has provided a knowledge of construction methods and processes and my experience in the IT industry helped me develop skills in logical problem solving, cause and effect, and attention to detail, all of which have been a great value in doing home inspections.

Growing up, my father instilled in me two lasting passions: trucks and repairs. I had a wrench in my hand shortly after I was able to walk, "helping" him fix our cars and trucks. My father always wanted to do things himself, from small repairs around the house to much larger building projects. When he didn't know how to do something he sought the information he needed to complete the project safely and correctly.

We found HHI through our realtor and Jamie performed our home inspection. As first time home buyers, it was really refreshing for Jamie to go through a very detailed explanation of what to keep an eye out for. It's a CRAZY competitive seller's property market. We were one of those couples that were brought to our knees by waiving all contingencies (including home inspection) to win and buy a property. Great customer service through and through. The lady on the phone was really helpful. She's able to walk you through the process and is very friendly. The home inspector is very friendly, we had Seth the owner. He would you through what he was doing and why and very helpful to answer questions and friendly. I have used them twice now and they've been great both times. They are very responsive to emails and phone calls and the inspector was right on time both visits. We used HHI for a home inspection in Ashburn before purchasing it in 2017. Our inspector was Ronn Holmes. After the home inspection, they sent us a detailed report with complete information and pictures. The report was so well structured with the top observations highlighted first and then details all other observations in the following pages. They even highlight critical observations in red which makes it easy to refer to. There is so much valuable information about the house in the report that I still refer to it after 3 years to find things that need fixing and I might have forgotten about.

I was very happy with my service from Hurlbert Home Inspections. Kevin, my inspector, was very thorough. He was also very patient with my many, many questions. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I think he saved me a lot of time and money with everything he pointed out to me. I used HHI for inspection when buying my new house and I am very happy with them. They did a first inspection on a property I end up not buying because they pointed out several damages not easy noticed. In the right one they gave me a full report in 24 hours with recommendations and things the previous owner needed to fix. I walked the property with them and they detailed on the things that matter the most for me, as the furnace, AC, electric box, and possible water leaks. That made my decision so easy.
