We love the staff and all the patrons that come into Samara wine. They always take the time to interact and converse with everyone! Truly gives a great atmosphere and an enjoyable experience. Joan and Dave are so genuine and just great people in general. Matt has an amazing gift and the wines he puts together are spectacular. Whatever you enjoy having, Samara is a must stop for your next outing.

When we visit, we are greeted by name and are often treated to the wines we most enjoy without asking. The environment is comfortable, wines tasty and staff outstanding. It's always a pleasant experience and our visitors enjoy it too. David and Joan make us feel like family.

This is an excellent winery with a tasting room in Goleta. Fabulous Pinot Noir, but also terrific Syrah, Grenache, and Chardonnay. The tasting room is also excellent - staff are deeply knowledgeable about the wine, and in a very friendly and accessible setting, with both indoor and outdoor seating. If you’re in the area, you should stop by!

One of the best winery teams I have experienced in the Santa Barbara wine country. Go to enjoy the pinot’s and the people.

Love the wines but especially the friendly and casual ambiance. The service provided by Chris, Grace and Julie is always excellent. Often, Lily, Sales Director and Matt, Winemaker will stop by for a chat and add their expertise to the experience. Best tasting experience in Santa Barbara.

Love the Samsara Pinot Noir - one of my favorites. A great full body Pinot, perfect for any meal (or just for drinking). Even my Cabernet Sauvignon drinking friends enjoy the Samsara Pinot Noir.

Matt Brady was a stellar host! Wow! So informative and really educated us on all the wines! And wow the wines were delicious! I joined the wine club and can’t wait to get my first shipment. Do yourself a favor and visit Samsara! Ask for Matt! What a treat!

No visit to Santa Ynez, and Los Olivos at that, is complete without stopping by Samsara for a taste of their incredible wines. Excellent people, convenient location, peaceful setting, and (most importantly) the best wine in the region. Without question my favorite pinot noir in all of California. Do yourself a favor and pick up a bottle of their Rancho La Vina pinot noir and prepare to enter wine nirvana.

Great wine in Goleta! Finally, in our backyard, we have a wonderful winery with excellent reds and a fun venue to relax and drink good wine at the end of the day...or even in the middle of the afternoon! The friendly staff make you and your dogs feel welcome. We love the patio area that has been "Covid" approved and feel safe while enjoying superb wine.

Great and cozy wine tasting experience. Beyond the fabulous wines (Syrah my favorite) SAMsARA has done a great job on the outdoor patio. Comfy furniture, fire pits and space heaters. Turns a chilly fall tasting into a super comfortable experience. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Highly recommended.

So there are an abundant amount of wine tasting rooms in Los Olivos so it is not so easy to decide on how to spend your currency of time.
Keep it simple and go to Samsara where the wine is simply delicious and the staff is fun, educated and entertaining. You will want to be a member of the wine club because of the consistency of high level production and prices. Visit the Samsara tasting room in fabulous Los Olivos

The wine is OK but the woman working there was incredibly rude and ruined the experience. Terrible customer service skills and downright unpleasant. Funnily enough, after venting about the experience to a neighboring tasting room, the person working there said that was the universal sentiment on her and they hear complaints all the time.

Can't imagine why a place would hire someone that toxic, unless she's the owner.

We walked in on a Saturday afternoon, around 3:30. The tasting room was empty, save for the one person working behind the bar. We tried to make a bit of small talk but hardly got any response. She had her head down working on something and didn't seem to be interested in welcoming or serving us. So, sadly, we left.

We have enjoyed Samsara wines in the past and were interested to talk with the winery's representatives. I certainly hope this experience does not represent Samsara as a whole.

Nice little tasting room to try amazing wines, especially the Pinots, Syrahs and the Rose. Very quaint little store and very personable, but what isn't in Los Olivos? If you haven't tried their wines, this is a must when you're wine tasting in the area.

We stopped in to Samsara this afternoon and were blown away by how great their wines are.

The decor was marked with clean lines, and set a perfect stage for the tasting.

We tasted a rosé, three pinot noirs, a Syrah, and a bottle the wine maker made in honor of his daughter, who designed the label.

All the wines were very well crafted; I particularly enjoyed the rosé, which was very dry and well-structured, and the Santa Rita Pinot.

We bought two pinots, the Santa Rita hills, and the Kessler-Haak.

Stop in at their Los Olivos tasting room, and try their incredible wines, you won&apos

I've been buying Samsara wines since 2002 and it's nice to be able to stop by and try their latest wines without having to wait for them to hit the retail distribution.

I love their syrah, but enjoy their pinot noir as well. They always have some of the latest and greatest to try here at the tasting room.

Stop on in and see what tickles your fancy. You won't leave disappointed, that's for sure.

OK this was a cool little surprise. Another winery recommended that we try this place out. We walked in on a slow Saturday afternoon and shared the wine room with another couple. We tasted everything and really enjoyed them all. We were given a tour of the small back room that contained all the barrels of wine. We actually got to sample the wine straight from the barrel. I was very impressed with the wines and the service here. Seriously wine ghetto, you make our trips special every time!

Hubby was very, very excited about hitting Samsara after we bought some of their wine at a recent Charlie Palmer cellar sale. Little did we know that their "tasting room" would be in a place called the "Wine Ghetto" Yup, I said it, but this is actually what it's called and I have the brochure to prove it.

I thought we were lost. My GPS thought so too. We ended up in a part of town so scary I wanted to put the roof up on my BMW stat. You see, that's what living in Orange County will do to you after a while.

We eventually found Samsara. In a place I might have brought

Wine Trip Part 4

Our third stop thru the Ghetto was Samsara which is a new project by Chad Melville. The Samsara tasting room also just opened in the Ghetto a few months back. Chad's father owns Melville Vineyards, http://www.melvillewinery.com/

Melville Pinot Noir's are some of the best in Central coast. Samsara shows a lot of potential as well. We tasted 3 Pinots, 2 sirahs and 1 rose. All the wines showed a lot of the same characteristics from Melville wines. My only complaint would have to be that pricing should be a bit lower for a new upstart project. I was very satisfied though
