Beware of changing prices. Our rent went up by several hundred dollars a month at the start of the second year. Small increases are understandable, but this was an incredible hike in price that causes us to need to look for a new place. It's this instability that's the biggest downside to living here. Otherwise the experience itself was quite good. Just can't call somewhere home when you might be priced out at any moment.

It’s a pretty quiet place, I haven’t had any issues with neighbors or loud noises since living here. However I just wish there was a bit more being done to make the property a bit more appealing to the eye. The buildings (especially those near the entrance) need sever power washing and/or fresh paint and the railings are all chipped and slightly rusted. That would be my only complaint.

The maintenance people are fine. The front office is okay. The tenants not so much. They are loud at all hours, cars included. Every weekend it’s a wonder if cops or an ambulance is going to come through. If you want to smoke a joint or two while watching the kids catch the school bus the complex is okay with you doing that too. Lived here a little over two years and this place has really let itself go

Betsy was incredibly helpful from start to finish. She found a unit that was right for me and guided me through the steps to get it at a fair price. As a new resident, Betsy has already made me feel welcome and I’m grateful she was there to help.
Also: After living here for a little bit now I can say the maintenance staff are top notch as well. Always quick and polite and tidy. Mario and Guillermo are awesome.

I want to start off by saying Cassandra and Dawn are extremely rude and not helpful at all. Just laugh at you when you have an issue and say your problem is not an emergency. Very rude and crappy people do not rent from here. I had my washer not working when I needed to do my laundry and they couldn't even help me as a new tenant wow. The disrespect these people show you is astounding. If you have any issues these "people" take it super personally and never want to help you. My washer and washer door along with lightbulbs from my chandelier are still not working. Its amazing how

I liked the property and the location. It was what I needed for the present time while I planned to relocate to East Coast nearer family in the Spring. Pricey considering aging property, and outdated appearance of equipment as you drive thru the property to the leasing office.
If you go in to apply, they should have a list or review of the requirements needed when giving you the application. I was not told all that was needed and spent three days running back and forth as Celest did not disclose paperwork required until Monday when I returned and the banks were closed as well as the business

I won't tell you to not rent here, but I will tell you to read your lease agreement in full, and to make sure that everything listed as "given to you" is actually in your possession. My lease with Hidden Lake just yesterday came to an end and upon returning my keys, I was told that I was missing one. On paper, yes, it does say that we received 2 Door keys, 2 Mail keys, and 1 Pool pass. However, we only received 1 Mail key and was told it would be $5.00 to replace said key. No big deal, it's only $5.00, but when leasing agents/associates insist that we received 2 Mail keys even

Beautiful location / lake views at an affordable price. The unit is very clean, seemingly brand new and comes with everything I need. Great community amenities such as exercise room overlooking the pool and lake, very specious pool area with tons of chairs, tables, cabanas with outdoor grills. Fishing allowed in the lake. Zero complaints!

I love living here because it is close to my University and maintenance is always quick and timely with their repairs (often a huge complaint in apartments). Office staff are friendly and prompt as well. The grounds are kept up pretty well, constantly making improvements like removing old stumps or freshening up the landscaping. I moved in right when they were repainting the buildings.
It is a bit pricey for living here but you get your money's worth if you use everything they have to offer.
The apartment didn't flood over the last month with the few floods Houston had. The road

We had a 3 month lease here, mid June to mid Sept, between the end of our lease in the Houston inner loop and an out of state move.
Pros:
a decently cheap 3 month rental for a 1 br apartment ($810 as of summer 2013).
very low pet fee/deposit (I cant remember but it was 1/2 to 1/4 what any other complex). We have two cats.
low deposit (was $150 for us, as of summer 2013).
accent wall -- they'll paint a color you pick before you move in.
track lighting in kitchen, large half-mirror wall, 1.5 inch plastic slat faux wood mini blinds, all nice looking.
pools and a lake

I've lived at Hidden Lake apartments for about a year and a half now. Same as with any apartment complex it has it's pros and cons. You're never going to find a "perfect" apartment complex where ever you end up at. Either the staff or the people around you are going to somehow ruin it for you and/or your family.
My experience here has been over-all pretty good. For all new renters and future renters you need to know that there's 2 areas to this complex. The regular cheapos at the front and the larger, more expensive, quiet ones at the far rear on the other
