Services
Lil Lack supports the health and well-being of her clients through small group yoga classes and private instruction in yoga with therapeutic benefits. Careful assessment and compassionate listening helps target your individual needs and goals. Lil teaches Hatha yoga classes that enhance vitality and a sense of well-being.
Lil grew up in Sweden with a keen interest in outdoor sports and horses. In 1986, she came to the United States to work with equestrian trainers and spent 15 years as an equestrian instructor and stable manager. She began to explore yoga and Pilates as an integral part of equestrian training. Her interest and education expanded to include massage.
Yoga is most beneficial when we practice regularly. Unlike other studios, we offer classes in five to nine-week class sessions throughout the year. Classes meet weekly for 75-minutes where we focus on building skills and deepening yoga fundamentals week to week. Joining mid-session: Students who wish to join a session after it has already begun will be charged a pro-rated fee for the number of weeks left in that session.
Gentle/Beginner Yoga integrates yoga postures, breathing, and meditation for students who wish to move at a gentle pace. No previous yoga experience is required. Gentle Yoga provides a beautiful way to softly waken the body and stretch one's self out to bring out the best response in each individual.
If you've been wanting to practice yoga but not sure it's for you chair yoga is the perfect answer. This gentle and safe form of yoga is designed with the beginner in mind, and perfect for anyone with limited range of motion or balance concerns.

Beginner Yoga introduces students to the wonderful physical and mental benefits of yoga with the practice of carefully sequenced foundation instruction in posture practice, breath work (pranayama), and meditation.Emphasis is placed on assessing individual needs and appropriate adjustments for each participant.

I have experienced many yoga instructors over the past 30 years, but Lil is the best!! I travel 25 minutes to her class and I am so grateful to have found her. She offers the total package. She keeps current in the field, attending courses. Being a massage therapist with a background in pilates aids her in knowing how to modify the poses to meet the individual needs of the students, to avoid injuries. During class, she is very gifted in her ability to demonstrate and verbalize specific instructions/modifications and/or adjust students’ posture (when needed and if interested). Her routines which

This is my second series of Yoga Classes with Lil – it started out as a Christmas gift from my brother and sister in law. As we age (that’s me) balance, flexibility, core muscle strength and mental fitness are all important. I find that Yoga addresses all of these issues.
What I have liked most about Lil’s instruction, is that she is “flexible” – to use a pun, in that all of us are not as nubile as our younger classmates. Lil recognizes this and allows us to adapt according to our capabilities.
I find myself looking forward to her classes and learning more about the benefits of Yoga

What a wonderful experience. I had wanted to try yoga for years and when Lil opened her studio on Rt 40 in North East, I decided to give it a try. That was 2 years ago and I couldn't be happier. Lil is incredibly knowledgeable and amazingly fluid in class. She also offers a variety of classes at different skill levels. As I've progressed there has always been a class available. Lil also is very accommodating if you need to switch a class or make a class up. Two thumbs way up !

I have attended classes at Lil Lack Yoga for the past two years and it has been a great experience. I have learned a great deal and I consistently look forward to my practice. I appreciate Lil's warmth, patience, flexibility, and her ability to work with her students regardless of their experience. She has an uncanny skill to adjust her teachings based on the student’s level of experience. Lil remains current with new techniques and incorporates them into her instruction. Additionally, she hosts Gong and Meditation classes at her studio to allow access to her students and the community. I would

Lil Lack Yoga is a terrific yoga business. Lil is incredibly talented as she has practiced for several years. She encourages her students to try new things, while also letting them know they can always come out of a pose or modify without feeling like they aren't trying. Lil does a great job explaining and demonstrating poses as well their benefits on the mind and body. I highly recommend taking a class with Lil, even just a drop in, to see how fantastic she is!

I have been going to Lil's yoga classes for about 2 years now and I love the whole experience. I have attended other yoga classes in the past 20 years, and Lil's studio provides a perfect atmosphere. Every week she does something different, so it is never boring. Since she does a therapeutic yoga, I have personally gotten much needed relief from a chronic pain in my hip and lumbar area. Lil also does something very unique by occasionally offering a gong bath. If you are able to attend one you will experience feeling calm and less stressed.
I highly recommend Lil Lack Yoga for anyone, whether you

Lil is an excellent yoga instructor and masseuse. I have arthritis in one knee and was unable to kneel on the leg most days. In 2004, my rheumatologist suggested that I begin stretching and attending yoga classes. After attending a series of yoga classes with Lil and gradually moving from beginning to more advanced practice, I can now bend the leg and do most of the poses. My orthopedic surgeon said that I have staved off knee replacement for now. Lil watches her students and takes the time to tailor poses so that each of us can be successful. Because she is also a certified masseuse, she is aware

I started taking yoga classes at age 68 because my hips had become some stiff and painful, particularly during long car rides. And there were plenty of other deteriorating parts, as well. After five years, I confess that my hips may occasionally be a bit cranky during my long hikes and sometimes grow stiff after prolonged sitting, but I know they are WAY better than they would have been if I had done nothing but continue to complain. The same has been true for all other parts of my aging body from my bunion-y feet to my once-rounded shoulders. Lil is wonderfully perceptive about directing her older

I have been attending Lil's Yoga classes for a total of 5 years. I enjoy the classes immensely. She is a great instructor, really tuned in to her students. When she sits in front of the class, she tunes into our energy level and if needed will adjust her class accordingly. She will also make sure that we get what we really need in class. I leave feeling refreshed and invigorated. Another great thing is that she offers additional classes such as restorative yoga or Gong Baths. They are a wonderful addition to the weekly classes that she offers. And if you miss a class, there is no excuse in not
